Gareth Bale Net Worth $90 Million Dollars

Born in Cardiff, Wales, Bale is the son of Frank and Debbie and nephew of famous footballer, Chris Pike. Even at an early age, Bale was already turning heads with his football skills. While attending Eglwys Newydd Primary School, his talent in football started to emerge when he joined his first club, the Cardiff Civil Service Football Club. He continued his passion for the many sports during his school years at Whitchurch High School; his skills were so exceptional that his physical education teacher was forced to create a separate rule for Bale when playing football, restricting him to using his right foot only, and making one-touch during games.

Bale also trained with Southampton Football Club’s satellite academy in Bath, to increase his chances of getting a scholarship with the club. At the age of 16, he won the Cardiff & Vale Senior Cup and matriculated with a Grade A in Physical Education and the department’s prize for services to sport.

In 2006, he was accepted by Southampton, and became one of its youngest but most prominent players. He became their free kick specialist, and started winning games after games and awards like the Carwyn James Award (BBC Young Welsh Sportsman of the Year) and was named the Football League’s Young Player of the Year. After only a year in Southampton, in 2007 Tottenham Hotspur offered him a deal for four years to play with the team, in which his popularity and wealth really started to increase.

Although he experienced a couple of injuries during his first year with Spurs, Bale contributed to the teams’ many victories, including the UEFA Champions League, and then also became PFA Player of the Year several times during his tenure.

In 2013, he became part of Real Madrid and created a buzz by having one of the most expensive transfer fees in history. The undisclosed amount is said to be around €100.8 million paired with a 6-year deal with the team. Bale has helped the team to win various leagues and cups including the Copa del Rey, FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup, making him one of the most sought-after and most expensive players in history, increasing his net worth tremendously.

Aside from football, Bale also has plenty of endorsements helping his net worth. He works with names like Adidas, Lucozade and BT Sport, and also participates in FIFA’s “11 against Ebola” as one of his philanthropic works.

In terms of his personal life, Bale is with his long-time partner Emma Rhys-Jones and together they have two kids, Alba Violet and Nava Valentina. The family currently resides in Madrid.
