Who is Karrin Taylor Robson?
American attorney, Republican politician and land use consultant Karrin Margaret Taylor Kunasek, was born in Mesa, Arizona USA in either 1964 or 1965; her exact date of birth remains undisclosed, but Karrin’s zodiac sign’s believed to be Gemini. She attracted a lot of attention in 2017, when Arizona Governor Doug Ducey appointed her a member of the Arizona Board of Regents, a position which she held for four years; Karrin entered the 2022 Arizona governorship election, but lost to Kari Lake, who was backed by former US President Donald Trump.
Education and early life
Karrin and her brother Andrew William ‘Andy’ Kunasek were raised in Mesa by their father Carl Kunasek who’s a retired politician, and was a member of the Arizona House of Representatives and president of the Arizona State Senate, and their mother Kathryn Frances Kunasek (nee Ryan) who passed away in 2020, aged 85. Karrin’s brother’s also a politician, and was from 1997 through 2017 on the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors.
Karrin became interested in politics at a very early age, having been exposed to talks about politics nearly every day. She studied at a local high school and was amongst the best students there, while the activities which she enjoyed taking part in the most were playing volleyball, writing articles for the school’s magazine, and competing with the school’s debating team.
Upon matriculating in 1984, Karrin enrolled at Arizona State University, from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and history in 1988; she continued her education at the Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, from which she graduated with a Master’s degree in 1990, then earned her Juris Doctorate in 1994.
Karrin’s career
Upon receiving her Bachelor’s degree, Karrin began working for President Ronald Reagan as a staff assistant for his economic policy council; she then also worked for President George H. W. Bush as a staff assistant in his Office of Cabinet Affairs.

From 1994 through 2016, Karrin worked as the executive vice president of the real estate developer company DBM Associates, quitting the job after 22 years for unknown reasons. She also worked for the law company Hunt & Taylor, P. L. C. as their principal, and later founded her own land-use consulting company Arizona Strategies – in 2020, Karrin described the land use law as ’40 percent law and 60 percent politics’.
In 2005, Karrin served as an unpaid liaison and advisor between the civilian community around Luke Lake US Air Force Base and the Air Force leadership.
Following the death of American politician and Navy officer John Sidney McCain III on 25 August 2018, it was widely believed that Karrin would take his place as Arizona US Senator, however, the vacancy was filled by Martha McSally.
Although Doug Ducey reappointed Karrin as a member of the Arizona Board of Regents for eight additional years in 2020, she quit the position only a year later, wanting to focus on her candidacy for governor, which she announced in May 2021 – amongst her most interesting statements was that she would enforce the pre-Roe abortion ban.

Her #3 most viewed video – “Kari Lake declared winner in Arizona GOP primary race for governor” – was uploaded by 12 News on 5 August 2022, and has since been watched nearly 100,000 times; it’s an announcement of Kari Lake’s victory over Karrin in the governor race.
Love life and husband
Karrin’s married twice, but rarely speaks of her first husband Gene Taylor in public; she hasn’t disclosed he dates of their wedding and divorce, but it’s believed that they were married for three years sometime in the ‘90s.
Since 2017, Karrin’s been married to American real estate developer Ed Robson, perhaps known best for being the founder of Robson Communities. The two were together for nearly a decade prior to exchanging vows, and have four children together.
Karrin hasn’t mentioned other men whom she’s dated, she’s married to her second husband Ed Robson as of March 2023, and they have four children together.
