Career
Most of El Fantasma’s songs target people struggling to take care of their families with low incomes, and those who are resilient and determined to attain their financial goals. He began his career officially in 2016, after he joined the Mexican Voz de Mando band to release corridos music. He made his career breakthrough as a soloist later that year, after he signed a contract with Afinartemusic, and released his first track, “Mi 45,” which later became part of his debut album, “Equipo Armado” (meaning ‘Team Armed’). The album has 15 songs, some of which became big hits on Fiel Compañero, El Bicho, and El Mayor radio stations. According to El Fantasma, the songs that make up his debut album are based on real events and are inspired by some of the things he used to witness in his personal life.
In 2017, he released the song “Vengo a Aclarar”, together with Banda Los Populares Del Llano. The song made it to the top 10 Hot Latin Albums, which increased Alexander’s fame significantly. The singer experienced several challenges in 2019 and was forced to cancel his performance at The Charrotaurinas Festivals of Cuauhtémoc, held in Colima, suffering severe gastric ulcers which needed emergency medical attention.
