David Ragan Net Worth $20 Million

David is the son of former racer Ken Ragan; inspired and encouraged by his father, David soon followed in his footsteps. When he was 12 years old, he began to race in the Bandolero Series, and in the next season he won 12 races and captured the National Championship. He repeated the success in 1999, and two years later he moved to the Goody’s Dash Series with Cam Strader. One year later, David progressed further and entered the Legends Pro-Division for Mark Martin, and was just one place out off the podium at the season’s end.

When he turned 18, David moved to the big leagues, and started competing in the Craftsman Truck Series, which is now called Camping World Truck Series, and also the Busch Series, now Xfinity Series, and parallel ARCA Racing Series. His debut in ARCA wasn’t quite successful, as he failed to finish the race due to a tire failure, but started the race from 20th position. In the Craftsman Truck Series, he debuted at the Texas Motor Speedway, and finished 20th after starting the race from the 28th position. He also drove in one Bush Series race and finished 31st, improving from the 36th starting place. Until 2006 he competed in the Craftsman Truck Series, and in 19 races he finished in the top ten eight times, securing one pole position, but failing to lift the winner’s trophy.

2007 year was quite successful for David, as he won the 2007 NASCAR Busch Series Rookie of the Year award, having two top-five finishes and nine top-ten finishes, ending the season fifth in the standings. His first win in the Busch Series came in 2009 at the Aaron’s 312 in Talladega, while his second and last win happened the same year, at the Food City 250 in Bristol, which only improved his wealth.

Regarding the Energy NASCAR Cup Series, he has raced in 362 races over 11 years, and recorded his first victory in 2011 at the Coke Zero 400 in Dayton, and two years later he recorded his second and last win so far, at the Aaron’s 499 in Talladega. He also has 36 top-ten finishes and two pole positions.

Regarding his personal life, David has been married to Jacquelyn since 2012; the couple has two children together.
