Born to parents who were both successful in combat sports, such as Taekwondo, the two separately ran combat sports schools. Encouraged by his parents, Daron started training from a young age, and earned a second-degree belt in Taekwondo. Once in college, he began wrestling at a competitive level, and was in the finals at the NJCAA tournament. He attended Olivet College, from which he obtained a bachelor’s degree in fitness management.
Before becoming a professional, Daron participated in Xtreme Caged Combat Fights (XCC) as an amateur, defeating Tom Grisham, and continued with two more successful fights, then turning professional and joining the King of the Cage.
He made his debut against Ricky Stettner at KOTC: Strike Point, and was successful in ending the fight in the first round by KO. His next fight in KOTC came in 2010, against Raul Mandez at Upper Cut event, which he again won in the first round, and continued successfully at KOTC: Bad Boys II against Jason Holmes to secure a 5-0 record, but in the fight against Bobby Green for the KOTC Junior Welterweight Championship at KOTC: Imminent Danger, Daron lost for the first time. He remained in the UFC until early 2016, but wasn’t quite successful in the promotion, since he lost six matches and won only five, with one no contest, as his opponent, K.J. Noons, accidentally poked Daron’s eye, and he couldn’t continue the fight.

Regardless, his net worth was rising steadily.
Regarding his personal life, Daron tends to keep his most intimate details hidden from the public eyes, though he is known for dating MMA fighter Malky Berlin, however, there are no further details about their relationship.
