Danica grew up in Roscoe, Illinois, a small village near Rockford; she has a younger sister, Brooke. Her father had a lot of influence on her career, as he himself was a racing driver, competing in motocross and midget cars. Well, ever since she was a ten year old child, Danica has had her hands on the wheel, starting with Go-Kart in 1992, but as she grew, also her appetites increased, resulting in the career she now has.

Danica attended Hononegah Community High School, situated in Rockton, Illinois, but she never finished her high school, instead, she obtained GED, and focused on a career in racing. She moved to England, and started to participate in major racing competitions, including Formula Ford and Formula Vauxhall, drawing more and more attention of people in the racing world.
