Who is Dalia Dippolito?
American convict and former escort lady Dalia Mohammed was born in New York City, USA, on 18 October 1982, under the zodiac sign of Libra. She’s probably only known for having been convicted of trying to murder her husband Michael Dippolito.
Education and early life
Dalia’s parents raised her in New York City, but only a little is known about them, as she respects their privacy; it’s believed that her father was an insurance agent, and her mother a homemaker. Many believe Dalia to be an only child, having not spoken of any siblings.
She had a rather normal childhood, and grew up wanting to become a famous model. Dalia was interested in a couple of sports while growing up, as she played soccer, tennis and volleyball, and was 16 when she found a part-time job, wanting to be able to support herself financially.
She matriculated in 2001, and then worked several jobs for the following a couple of years, prior to becoming an escort girl.
Hiring a hitman
Dalia met Michael Dippolito on 4 October 2008, when he was living in Boyington Beach, Florida with his wife; his other half was out of town, and he thus asked for an escort girl to keep him company during the night. Michael fell in love with Dalia during that first night, and only two weeks later filed for divorce and asked Dalia to marry him.
Their marriage seemed highly stable at first, and those who had a chance to see Michael and Dalia spending time together in public have described them as happy, however, this changed after Michael was sent to prison in 2001, convicted of business fraud, and spending seven months behind bars. Following his release and while on probation, an anonymous person contacted Michael’s probation officer and told him that Michael was selling drugs and steroids out of his car; the police investigated, but nothing was found.
Two weeks following the first investigation, the police checked Michael’s cigarette pack and found a bag of cocaine inside it; he wasn’t arrested, and it was at this time that Michael became suspicious of his wife, believing that she had tried to set him up. He asked Dalia if she had anything to do with it while she was driving him, and she got mad, and drove at nearly 200 miles per hour – scared for his life, he apologized.
Only a day after this incident, Dalia told Michael that she was pregnant. This turned out to be part of her plan, as she then contacted her former boyfriend Mike Stanley, who called Michael and pretended to be an attorney, claiming that he would have to gift his house to his wife if he wanted to get off probation, which Michael eventually did.
After the house was under Dalia’s name, she called another of her former boyfriends, Mohammed Shihadeh, and told him that she wanted Michael dead, and to hire a hitman. Instead of helping Dalia, Mohammed contacted the police and informed them about her plan.
Catching and sentencing Dalia
Mohammed and the police arranged for an undercover police officer to meet with Dalia in his car, and to pretend that he was the hitman; there was also a hidden camera set up inside the car, which recorded Dalia saying that she was sure about wanting to have Michael killed.
The hitman then told Dalia to be at the gym before 6a.m, while the police called Michael and told him about his wife’s plan to kill him. A police sergeant contacted Dalia around 7a.m, telling her that there was an incident at her home, and that she should go there; she was then taken to the police station, where she was interrogated by a detective.

Dalia lied about not knowing anything about the murder plan, asked to go home and even called her husband wanting him to help her; Michael only stated that he was not allowed to see her, and hung up.
It was in 2011 that Dalia was arrested and she and Michael divorced – she spent the following five years under house arrest, prior to being sentenced in 2016 to spend 16 years behind bars.

Dalia enjoyed leading a lavish lifestyle while she was married to Michael, but still always wanted more than she had, which led her to plan her husband’s murder, and so inherit his wealth.
She was physically quite active prior to being imprisoned, as she worked out at the gym nearly every morning, and occasionally at home as well.
Dalia often travelled, both with her husband and alone; her favorite city to travel to was Miami, Florida.
She did a bit of work in the real estate industry while married to Michael, as she eventually grew bored of being without a job.
Dalia watched movies on a daily basis – her favorite actress is Julia Roberts, while some of her favorite movies are “Erin Brockovich”, “August: Osage County” and “Eat Pray Love”.
