Bray was interested in wrestling even during his high school days. He attended Hernando High School, where he competed in and won a state wrestling championship in 2005. In the same year he matriculated, and went on to play football at the College of the Sequoias for two seasons. After that, he earned a football scholarship to Troy University, and played football for two years there. Bray made his wrestling debut in the Florida Championship Wrestling in 2009, under the nickname Alex Rotundo and after that, changed it to Duke Rotundo. In June of the same year, he teamed up with his brother Bo, and the duo went on to defeat The Dude Busters – Caylen Croft and Trent Barretta. During the same night, they scored one more victory, defeating Justin Angel and Kris Logan. In June 2010, Bray was announced as joining the second season of NXT, under the nickname Husky Harris. He made his debut in the same month, and competed in a tag team match with Cody Rhodes against Montel Vontavious Porter and Percy Watson. Wyatt and Rhodes lost that game, and Wyatt went on to turn into a villain in the late June by attacking announcer Matt Striker. Regardless, his net worth was now well established.

In August 2011, he became involved in the beef his brother Bo had with Lucky Cannon and Damien Sandow, and the brothers eventually teamed up to defeat Cannon and Sandow. In April of the following year, Wyatt created his new character, Bray Wyatt and made his debut in July; his character was the evil cult leader who believes that he’s more monster than human. In July he faced an injury, but nevertheless continued competing. In February 2013, he defeated Yoshi Tatsu, but had his first loss in March of the same year, and in early May, he was also defeated by Chris Jericho. It is important to mention that two other wrestlers, Luke Harper and Eric Rowan were his ‘‘sons’’, and together they formed the Wyatt Family, which went on to defeat Adrian Neville and Oliver Grey and win the NXT Tag Team Championship. However, Bray ‘‘released’’ his sons and went on to compete in single championships, returning alone to Hell in a Cell in late October of that year. In 2015, he interfered in the Money in the Bank ladder match, and attacked Roman Reigns, which led to a match between the two of them at Battleground. Ultimately, Wyatt defeated his opponent with the help of Luke Harper, his former ‘‘family member’’. In 2017, Bray had feuds with several other wrestlers, such as The Miz, Dean Ambrose and Baron Corbin, all of whom he defeated. After that, Wyatt competed at the annual Royal Rumble match, however, he lost to Matt Hardy.

When it comes to his private life, Bray is in a relationship with JoJo Offerman, a WWE ring announcer; he has two children from a previous marriage. Speaking about his religios beliefs, Bray is a Christian. He is active on social media too, such as Twitter on which he is followed by an army of over 1.2 million people.
