Bob is the oldest of three sons born to Mark R. Gale who worked as an attorney, and his wife, Maxine, an art dealer and violinist. He took his first steps towards filmmaking when he and his brother Charlie made a film series parodying the “Republic Pictures Commando Cody”. For the first film, the two received an Academy Award- nomination, while they won the Hugo award in the category Best Dramatic Presentation.
Following the success of these films, the two created the animated TV series “Back to the Future” (1991-1993), and worked as consultants for five video games created by Telltale games.
