Who is Blanca Suárez?

Blanca Martinez Suárez was born in Madrid, Spain, on 21 October 1988 – her zodiac sign is Libra, and she holds Spanish nationality. She’s an actress with close to 40 acting credits to her name, perhaps known best for her portrayal of Elena, one of the lead characters in the 2017 adventure horror comedy movie “The Bar”, written and directed by Alex de la Iglesia, and which also starred Mario Casas and Carmen Machi. It follows a group of people who are stuck at a bar in Madrid, and the movie won one of the 15 awards for which it was nominated.

Early life and education

Blanca was raised in Madrid alongside her brother Pedro Martinez Suárez, by their parents Jose Suarez and Teresa Merino about whom not a lot is known, as Blanca respects their privacy; it’s said that both Jose and Teresa are musicians.

Blanca became interested in acting while attending a local high school – she was a member of its drama club and could’ve been seen appearing in plays performed both at the school and a local theatre. She was also highly sporting during her teenage years, believing that playing sports would help her modelling and acting career.

It follows a group of students who are attending a mysterious boarding school, the series aired from 2007 to 2010 and won six of the 22 awards for which it was nominated.

Between 2011 and 2013, Blanca starred as Ainhoa Montero in the adventure mystery drama “The Boat”, which won one of the five awards for which it was nominated, and the following years saw her appear in an episode or two of a couple of popular series, such as the fantasy thriller “Cuentame un Cuento”, the romantic drama “Beauty and the Beast”, and the action thriller “Los Nuestros”.

Between 2017 and 2020, she played the lead character Lidia Aguilar in the drama “Cable Girls”, created by Ramon Campos and Gema R. Neira, and which also starred Yon Gonzalez and Ana Fernandez. It follows four women working at a ‘phone company as operators in the 1920s, and the series won five of the eight awards for which it was nominated.

In 2008, Blanca began dating Spanish actor Javier Pereira, who’s appeared in more than 50 movies and TV series, and is perhaps known best for his portrayal of Andres in the 2016 crime thriller movie “May God Save Us” (original “Que Dios Nos Perdone”). The two split in 2010.

Between 2011 and 2014, Blanca lived with her boyfriend Miguel Angel Silvestre Rambia, a famous Spanish actor.

She then dated Spanish singer Dani Martin for around a month in 2014, and between 2015 and 2017, she was in a relationship with Joel Bosqued, a popular Spanish actor.
