Who is Luke Bilyk?

Canadian actor Lukas Barry ‘Luke’ Bilyk was born under the zodiac sign Scorpio on 10 November 1994, in North York, Ontario, Canada. He has 34 acting credits, and is perhaps known best for playing T. J. in the 2017 comedy movie “F*&% the Prom”, written and directed by Benny Fine, and which starred Danielle Campbell, Joel Courtney and Madelaine Petsch. It follows two friends who split a day before starting high school, while they’ve now reunited three years later to sabotage the prom.

Luke’s today highly active in the film industry, and has recently finished shooting for the upcoming movie “Wade”.

Education and early life

Luke was raised alongside his three older sisters in Vaughan, Ontario by their parents about whom Luke avoids speaking in public; it’s believed that his father’s a blacksmith and his mother a housewife, but this is yet to be confirmed by Luke.

He fell in love with acting aged six, as he began watching TV series and movies with his family on a daily basis, and Luke was 10 when he made his film debut, portraying Young Terry in the 2005 short drama “Dry Whiskey”, written and directed by Robert Budreau, and which starred Diego Klattenhoff, David Fox and Hardee T. Lineham. It follows a boy as he’s trying to reconnect with his father who’s just given up drinking – the film won two awards, and Luke’s been active in the film industry ever since.

He studied at St. Elizabeth Catholic High School, and upon matriculating in 2013 didn’t enroll at college, wanting to continue pursuing acting.

Luke’s debut TV series role was playing Halaqa Teen in the 2007 episode “Best Intentions” of the comedy “Little Mosque on the Prairie”, which Zarqa Nawaz created, and which starred Zaib Shaikh, Sitara Hewitt and Debra McGrath. It follows the lives of members of a Muslim family from Mercy, Saskatchewan, Canada and the series won four of its 22 award nominations.

The remainder of the 2000s saw Luke appear in an episode or two of the family comedy “The Latest Buzz”, and the comedy “The Jon Dore Television Show”.

In 2011, he played Joe in the episode “The War Within” of the crime action “Flashpoint”, and from 2010 through 2014, Luke he was Drew Torres in four episodes of the short romantic drama “Degrassi: Minis”, which starred Cassie Steele, Shane Kippel and Charlotte Arnold, and is a compilation of shorts about the critically acclaimed series “Degrassi: The Next Generation”. Luke could then have been seen appearing in an episode of the action adventure “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” and the crime mystery “Hudson & Rex”, and from 2016 through 2019, he played Adam Wayney in the family comedy “Raising Expectations”, created by Tom Saunders, and which starred Molly Ringwald, Katie Douglas and Jason Priestley. It follows Paige and Wayne as they’re raising their five children, and the series won two of its six award nominations.

Luke’s three most recent TV series roles have been in the 2021 episode “Roman’s Six” of the fantasy mystery “SurrealEstate”, all eight episodes of the 2022 drama “The Porter”, and five episodes of the crime action “Reacher” in 2023 and 2024.

In 2009, Luke played Cute Kid in the family fantasy “Gooby”, and some of his following roles were in the 2010 adventure crime comedy “My Babysitter’s a Vampire”, and in 2013 the short comedy “Little White Lies” and the short drama “The Cycle of Broken Grace”.
