Jessica Schram was born on 15 January 1986 in Skokie, Illinois, USA, the daughter of John Schram and his wife Kristie. She grew up in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, and went to Buffalo Grow High School, from which she matriculated in 2004.

Jessy reprised her role in the sequel movies “Now You See It, Now You Don’t”, “Til Death Do Us Part”, then “The Wrong Face”, all in 2005, then “Yes, I Remember It Well”, “The Harder They Fall” in 2006, “Ties That Bind”, “How to Fire Your Boss” in 2007, and “Eye of the Beholder” in 2008, which concluded the series.

She worked on other projects during this time, including the award-winning TV mystery crime-drama series “Veronica Mars”, in which she appeared in four episodes, starring Kristen Bell, Jason Dohring, and Enrico Colantoni.

In 2008 she was Courtney in the romantic drama movie “Keith”, with Elisabeth Harnois, Jesse McCartney, and Margo Harshman, about two high school students, Natalie and Keith. Two years later, she portrayed Darcy in the Academy Award-nominated action thriller film “Unstoppable”, starring Denzel Washington, Chris Pine, and Rosario Dawson.

Rise to Prominence

Gradually, Jessy was rising as an actress, and started getting more popular roles. In 2011 she was chosen for the role of Karen Nadler in the Primetime Emmy Award-nominated TV sci-fi action drama series “Falling Skies”, which tells the story of humans who survived the alien attack as they gather and resource for a fight back, starring Noah Wyle, Drew Roy, and Maxim Knight. She appeared in 14 episodes from 2011 to 2014, which only contributed to her popularity.


Next, she was Cinderella/Ashley Boyd in the epic fantasy drama series “Once Upon a Time”, having a major role in four episodes from 2011 to 2016. Then in 2012, she was selected for the part of Christine Kendal in the Primetime Emmy Award-nominated TV mystery action-drama series “Last Resort”, starring Andre Braugher, Scott Speedman, and Daisy Betts.

Moreover, in 2012 she starred in the award-winning television family-drama movie “A Smile as Big as the Moon”, co-starring John Corbett and Logan Huffman, about a special-education teacher who helps his students get into a space camp.

Three years later, Jessy starred in the television romantic drama movie “Reluctant Nanny” with Aaron Hill and Tamara Taylor, then in 2017, she was the lead star of the television romantic comedy-drama movie “Royal New Year’s Eve”, about an aspiring fashion designer who falls in love with her socialite client’s prospective fiancé, Prince Jeffrey, co-starring Sam Page and Crystal Balint.

Jessy continued with Hallmark channel films, and in 2018 she starred with Teryl Rothery and Matreya Scarrwener in the romantic comedy-drama movie “Road to Christmas”, then in 2020, she was the main star of the romantic comedy-drama movie “Amazing Winter Romance”, co-starring Marshall Williams, and Zoe Fish. Furthermore, the same year she starred in the television fantasy drama movie “A Nashville Christmas Carol”, while in 2021, she had the double role of Jane/Rebecca in the television movie “Time for Them to Come Home for Christmas”.


However, in 2020 she secured the long-time running role as Dr. Hannah Asher in the TV medical-drama series “Chicago Med”, which follows the emergency department doctors and nurses of the Gaffney Chicago Medical Center.

She joined the series in the fifth season as a recurring character, a returning physician from Los Angeles who’d struggled with substance abuse but is now sober. As the series progressed, her character was upgraded, and she is now one of the main stars, and so far has appeared in 32 episodes, which launched her to stardom.
