Robert Downey Jr. was born on 4 April 1965 under the Aries zodiac sign, in New York City, USA. He’s the son of Robert Downey Sr., an actor and filmmaker, and his wife Elsie Ann. Robert had a tough childhood, as his father, a drug addict, would give drugs to Robert and he would struggle with his temperament from the age of nine until his late 30s. He has an older sister Allyson, with whom he spent his childhood in Greenwich Village. Surrounded by actors and filmmakers, Robert became interested in acting at an early age, and appeared in his first film – “Pound” – at the age of five in 1970.

Robert appeared in his next film – the western “Greaser’s Palace” – in 1972, but then the rollercoaster started moving from one place to another as, spending some time in London, England and Los Angeles, California. Avri’s father had several failed relationships before he met her mother Susan. Back in 1984, he started a romance with Sarah Jessica Parker after they met on the set of “Firstborn”. However, by 1991 the two had separated due to Robert’s drug addiction.
In 1992, he married actress and singer Deborah Falconer after they were together for just 42 days; they have a son, Indio Falconer Downey born in September 1993. Unfortunately, his drug-related problems continued and this put a strain on their marriage, which eventually resulted in separation in 2001, while their marriage was officially over in 2004.
