Atandwa Kani was born on 6 June 1984, in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, and is an actor, although perhaps best known for being the son of South African actor John Kani. He’s appeared in numerous stage and television projects, including having a part in the Marvel superhero film entitled “Black Panther”, and in “The Suit” and “Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom”. Afterwards, Atandwa appeared in the series “The Book of Negroes”, then in 2014, he performed on stage in the productions of “Black & Blue” and “Sizwe Banzi is Dead” which is a production directed by his father, followed by a part in the short film “The Suit”.

One of his latest projects is the comic book film “Black Panther”, in which he is set to appear alongside his father. The superhero film is a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, also starring Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, and Lupita Nyong’o.

For his personal life, it is known that Atandwa is married to Fikile M Kani, and the couple now reside in New York City, USA.
