Who is Brennan Elliott?

Brennan was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, on 24 March 1975 – his zodiac sign is Aries, and he holds Canadian nationality. He’s an actor and film producer, with more than 70 acting credits to his name, perhaps known best for his portrayal of Graham in the popular drama series “UnREAL”, created by Martin Noxon and Sarah Gertrude Shapiro, and which starred Shiri Appleby, Craig Bierko and Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman. It follows the producers of a dating competition show, aired from 2015 to 2018, and won five of the 28 awards for which it was nominated, including two Primetime Emmy nominations.

Early life and education

Brennan was raised in Calgary an only child, by his mother who worked at a finance company, and his father who was a bank manager; after his parents’ divorce, he spent some time living with his paternal grandmother. Brennan and his father are of Clan Eliott, a Border Reiver Scottish clan.

Brennan became interested in acting at a quite an early age, and was nine when he began appearing in plays performed at his elementary school. He was physically quite active while attending a local high school, as he enjoyed playing soccer and ice hockey with his peers, although his main focus was still on acting.

He was 16 years old when he made his debut film appearance, playing Man in Car in the 1991 music video “Tom Cochrane: Life Is a Highway”, but then focused on his education, and didn’t appear in any movies or TV series in the following five years.

Upon matriculating in 1993, Brennan enrolled at the prestigious Juilliard School’s Actors Studio in New York City, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in 1997.

Brennan played Max in the 1996 action crime mystery “Stone Coats”, and some of his following roles were in the 1998 science fiction horror drama “Dream House”, the animated action drama “G-Saviour” (voice role), and the mystery thriller “Convergence”, both in 1999.

He attracted a lot of attention with his portrayal of Yuppie Man in the critically acclaimed 1999 mystery crime drama “Double Jeopardy”, directed by Bruce Beresford, and which starred Ashley Judd, Tommy Lee Jones and Bruce Greenwood. It follows a woman who’s been framed for killing her husband, while she believes that he’s alive, and that he’s framed her; the movie was nominated for four awards.

A couple of Brennan’s most notable performances in the 2000s were in the 2002 mystery horror drama “Hobbs End”, the 2006 historical action thriller “Flight 93” (lead role) and the 2008 family comedy drama “The Nanny Express”.

He played Ian in the popular 2013 horror thriller “Curse of Chucky”, written and directed by Don Mancini, and which starred Chantal Quesnelle, Fiona Dourif and Jordan Gavaris. It follows Nica who’s begun to believe that her niece’s doll is somehow responsible for her mother’s death; the movie won two of the three awards for which it was nominated.

Brennan made his debut TV series appearance in the 1997 episode “Getting MADD” of the action crime adventure “Viper”, while he was then invited to appear in an episode or two of a couple of popular series, the drama “Madison”, the fantasy horror drama “The Outer Limits”, and the action fantasy drama “Welcome to Paradox”.

What marked the 2000s for him was perhaps his portrayal of the supporting character Dr. Nick Biancavilla in the drama “Strong Medicine”, created by Tammy Ader and Whoopi Goldberg, and which starred Rosa Blasi, Jenifer Lewis and Josh Coxx. The series aired from 2000 to 2006, folloeds two doctors working at the Rittenhouse Women’s Clinic, and it won 10 of the 27 awards for which it was nominated.

Brennan’s also known for his portrayal of Warren Saget in the romantic drama “Cedar Cove”, created by Bruce Graham, and which starred Andie MacDowell, Dylan Neal and Sarah Smyth. It follows Municipal Court Judge Olivia Lockhart and other people living in Cedar Cove, the series aired from 2013 to 2015, and was nominated for three awards.

Three of Brennan’s most recent roles in TV series have been in three episodes of the 2016 crime mini-series “Flower Shop Mysteries”, two episodes of the 2017 romantic crime drama “The Catch”, and six episodes of the 2021 mystery crime drama “The Crossword Mysteries”.

Brennan has four producing credits, which include the 2017 romantic movie “All of My Heart: Inn Love”, and the 2019 romantic film “All Summer Long”.

Brennan’s physically highly active and has five to six training sessions at the gym every week, thus his muscular body; he mostly works out because it’s important for his acting career to stay in shape.

He’s quite active on Instagram, and is today followed by over 50,000 people, while he’s uploaded more than 350 pictures onto the network, most of which feature him during his everyday life.

Brennan’s passionate about travelling, and his acting career’s taken him to many Canadian cities and various US states, while his dream travel destination is London, England.
