Who is Jack Alcott?

American actor and model Jack Alcott was born in Franklin, Tennessee USA, on 15 March 1999, making Pisces his zodiac sign. He’s appeared in 17 movies and TV series, and is probably known best for playing the main character Harrison Morgan in the 2021 crime mystery mini-series “Dexter: New Blood”, created by Clyde Phillips, and which also starred Michael C. Hall and Julia Jones. Set 10 years after the events of the critically acclaimed series “Dexter”, the sequel follows Dexter Morgan who’s living under an assumed name in New York State, and it was nominated for six awards.

Education and early life

Jack was raised in Franklin by his parents who are staying away from the media’s attention, as they prefer to maintain their privacy; it’s believed that his father’s a college professor, and his mother a historian. Because Jack hasn’t mentioned having siblings, he’s believed to be an only child.

He became interested in acting while still attending a local elementary school, and was 15 and attending a local high school when he made his debut film appearance, playing the main character Christian in the 2014 short mystery comedy movie “Flubbery Red”, directed by Ryan Darst, and which also starred Helena Ball and Glenn G. Bowman III. The film follows a group of teenagers as they’re spending time at the Summer Camp Ambush. Jack was then cast to appear in a couple of short films, including the 2014 comedy “Wingman Walrus”, the 2015 family drama “Musical Hearts” and the 2016 drama “Tip-Off”

He matriculated from high school in 2017 and then enrolled at University of North Carolina’s School of Arts, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2021.

Roles in movies

In 2017, Jack played Mean Teen in the short comedy “Lemon Made”, and the same year saw him star as Tommy in the short drama “Millwood County”, written and directed by Luke Lowder, and which also starred Christian Muller and Cameron Morton; it follows Chris who’s preparing to tell his life-long best friend that he’s in love with her.

In 2017, Jack played Anthony in the short action comedy “Transmission: Revolution”, and the year 2018 saw him play Broadcaster in the short family comedy “Balls!” In 2020, he played Waiter at Dante’s in his first feature film, the drama “Augustus” which failed to attract any attention, while the same year also saw him play the lead character Joey in the short musical drama “In Love with the Pain”, directed by Mike Rodway, and which also starred Black Stone Cherry and Kylee Denesha; it’s an official music video for the Black Stone Cherry’s eponymous song.

Jack’s appeared in only one other movie: he played Tyler in the 2021 short romantic drama “Blue Glass Heaven”, which tells the story of two young people who are in love.

Roles in TV series

Jack’s debut TV series role was playing Jamie in the 2017 episode “Pilot” of the popular short crime drama “When the Streetlights Go On”, which starred Chosen Jacobs, Sophie Thatcher and Ben Ahlers, and follows the actions of small town residents after a young girl and her teacher are murdered.

In 2018, Jack appeared in the episode “I Wouldn’t Sh’ma Just Yet…” of the comedy “Champaign ILL”, and his following role came in 2020, when cast to portray Young Ressler in the episode “Brothers” of the critically acclaimed crime mystery “The Blacklist”, which Jon Bokenkamp created, and which starred Diego Klattenhoff, Megan Boone and James Spader. It follows the private life and work of FBI profiler Elizabeth Keen, the series aired from 2013 through 2023 and won three of its 36 award nominations.

Also in 2020, Jack starred as Jason Brown in all the seven episodes of the war western mini-series “The Good Lord Bird”, created by Ethan Hawke, who also starred in it; it follows an enslaved boy who’s joined the Brown’s family of abolitionist soldiers, and the mini-series won eight of its 28 award nominations.

Jack’s only other TV series role has been playing Randy in the 2023 episode “The Future of the Sport” of the hit crime mystery “Poker Face”.

Other credits

Jack made a guest appearance in a 2022 episode of the talk-show “Fanaddicts Podcast”.

Awards and nominations

Jack was nominated for a 2022 Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films Award for Best Performance by a Younger Actor in a Network Television Series, for “Dexter: New Blood”.

Love life and girlfriend

Jack shies away from sharing the details of his love life with his fans, and hasn’t mentioned the girls whom he’s perhaps dated, however, he’s recently uploaded several pictures onto his Instagram account, which feature him posing together with an American model, and some of his fans believe that the two might be romantically linked; this hasn’t been addressed by Jack.

There are also some who believe the popular actor to be gay, claiming to have also seen him kissing his boyfriend at a nightclub in Los Angeles, but this hasn’t been confirmed either.

Jack seems to be unattached as of March 2023, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.

Jack enjoys being active on Instagram, today followed by more than 30,000 people, has posted more than 1,500 pictures and videos onto the social media network, most of which feature him during his everyday life, whether he’s shooting for his movies and TV series, giving interviews or having fun with his friends.

His favorite season is summer, as he loves to go yachting, play beach sports and swim in the ocean.

Jack enjoys spending his spare time in nature, and many of his Instagram pictures feature him being in woods.

Some of his favorite actors are Robert Duvall, Robert Pattinson and Brad Pitt, and some of his favorite movies are the trilogy “The Godfather”, “Batman” and “High Life”.
