An actor with over 30 credits to his name, who rose to prominence after his portrayal of James ‘Sawyer’ Ford in the series “Lost“, Josh Lee Holloway was born under the zodiac sign of Cancer on 20 July 1969, in San Jose, California USA; he holds American nationality and comes from a family of German, Scottish, English and Irish descent.

When the third season of the western melodrama series “Yellowstone” ended, the audience was shocked by the death of Roarke Morris, and when in the fourth season people realized that they wouldn’t be enjoying the performance of the actor who portrayed this character, they wanted to know the reason for his leaving, saying that the death of this character made no sense.
Although there was no official explanation why this character was written out of “Yellowstone”, the fans of the series assumed that one of the reasons was Caroline Warner joining the series, and when it was announced that Josh Holloway had a role in a new Home Box Office (HBO) Max series, entitled “Duster”, many of his fans assumed that this might be the reason for leaving the show.
Early life and education
Josh was raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia by his parents – his mother was a nurse, and his father was a surveyor. When Josh was two years old, the family moved to Free Home, Georgia, where Josh spent most of his childhood alongside his three brothers, whose names he hasn’t revealed.
From an early age, Josh was a big fan of movies, and although he hadn’t dreamed about becoming an actor, it seems that destiny had other plans for him.
Josh attended Cherokee High School in Georgia, and upon matriculating in 1987, he enrolled at the University of Georgia, however, he dropped out of college due to financial problems.
He moved to Los Angeles, California, and launched his modeling career, working for brands such as Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, and Dolce & Gabbana, and then in 1993, he made an appearance in the music video for the song “Cryin'” by Aerosmith, and subsequently, Josh started auditioning.
