Who is Kellita Smith?
American model, actress and comedian Kellita Smith was born in Chicago, Illinois USA, on 15 January 1969 under the zodiac sign of Capricorn. She’s appeared in over 50 movies and TV series, and is perhaps still best known for her role as Wanda McCullough in the critically acclaimed family comedy series “The Bernie Mac Show”, created by Larry Wilmore, and in which she starred alongside Jeremy Suarez and Bernie Mac. It follows a stand-up comedian who’s taken custody over his sister’s three children, the series aired from 2001 to 2006 and won 32 of its 95 award nominations, including a 2002 Primetime Emmy win for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series.

Kellita and her brother Eric were raised by their mother Honey Smith in Chicago; their father was sent to fight in Vietnam only a couple of months after Kellita was born, and after he and Honey divorced, Kellita and Eric continued living with their mother.
Kellita studied at a local high school, and it was during her four years there that she began thinking about launching a career as a model or an actress, but her mother and brother urged her to continue working on her education.

Kellita’s debut film appearance was in the 1994 romantic musical comedy “House Party 3”, and her following three roles were in the 1995 thriller drama “The Crossing Guard”, the 1999 comedy “Q: The Movie” and the 2000 comedy “Retiring Tatiana”.
The year 2005 saw her play Vivian in the popular musical comedy drama “Roll Bounce”, directed by Malcolm D. Lee, and which starred Shad Moss, Nick Cannon and Meagan Good. Set in 1978, the movie follows a group of teenage friends who are all into roller skating, and it won two of the eight awards for which it was nominated.
What also marked the 2000s for Kellita was her portrayal of Carla in the 2007 romantic comedy “Three Can Play That Game”, directed by Samad Davis, and which starred Vivica A.
