His uncle was actor Raúl ‘Chato’ Padilla, and his aunt actress Lili Inclán. He is also the cousin of actors Raúl ‘Chóforo’ Padilla and Rafael Inclán. Career Beginnings
Alfonso Zayas launched his professional acting career in 1958, when he made his feature film debut appearing in the adventure comedy film “Piernas De Oro”, while his TV debut came in 1966, when he made a guest appearance in an episode of the TV comedy series “La Tremenda Corte”.

Thereafter, he appeared in the “La Pulquería” film series, which consists of three films released from 1981 to 1984. Alfonso Zayas married seven times and had nine children. He lost his eldest child, a son who was a private pilot, in a helicopter crash in 2005. His last marriage was with a woman named Libia García – she was 29 younger than he. They lived in Cuernavaca, Morelos.
