Alpharad is an American YouTube star, who achieved stardom by playing video games and uploading “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate”, “Among Us”, “Overwatch” and other gameplay videos. Moreover, he is known as the commentator and organizer of eSports tournaments.
Alpharad Wiki: Age, Childhood, and Education
Alpharad was born Jacob Rabon IV on 19 December 1995 under the Capricorn zodiac sign, in Los Angeles, California USA. He hasn’t shared the names of his parents, although has said that he has a sister, but he hasn’t revealed her name or age. While in 5th grade he became interested in filmmaking, and before he had his own YouTube channel, he would make and upload videos for his friends.

His interest only increased as he got older, and in high school he started taking editing and cinematography classes, which largely helped his career, since he is now known for highly edited videos. After high school, Alpharad enrolled at the University of Oklahoma, where he signed up for film production projects, with an idea in mind to become a filmmaker in the future. However, he didn’t like how he was treated while working on the films during his studies, as he soon realized that he didn’t have creative control over the films on which he was working, and so dropped out from film classes. He eventually graduated from the university, but launched his YouTube career while still studying.
Career Beginnings
Alpharad started his YouTube career in 2014 with the video “Melee Got Hacked”, which shows him and his friend Major Duncan playing “Super Smash Bros. Melee”. He continued making videos and was slowly increasing his popularity. He started the “How to Play” series which consisted of several video games, such as “Super Mario”, “Peach”, “Shovel Knight”, and others.
Rise to Prominence
As his popularity was increasing, Alpharad started collaborating with other YouTubers, such as Turvis with whom he competed in the popular video game “Super Smash 4”, playing with various characters, including Cloud, Kirby, Donkey Kong, Bayonetta, and many others.
Moreover, in 2016 he became a member of the YouTube channel Friends Without Benefits, playing various games with YouTubers Cade, Dillon, Major, and Dad. However, he left the community in 2018, as he wanted to focus on his own ideas.
He now has over 2.6 million followers on his official YouTube channel and has accumulated more than 1.2 billion views. Some of his most popular videos include “World of Light: One Punch Mac”, which has over 12 million views, then “Can You Beat Pokemon Emerald with ONLY Mudkip?” over 11 million views, while his video “SUPER MARIO ODYSSEY: The Supercut” has been viewed just over 10 million times, in addition to several other videos with millions of views.
Other YouTube Channels
In addition to his main channel, Alpharad has launched several others, including Alpharad Deluxe on which he has more than 650,000 subscribers. He’s been uploading content on this channel since 2019, which shows him playing such video games as “Super Mario Maker”, “Pokemon”, “Among Us” and Fortnite” among others. He has teamed up with other YouTubers on this channel, including Josniffy and Ellie, and his videos have been viewed around 160 million times; some of the most popular are “Sonic Forces: Plus Ultra”, with over 1.6 million views, and “Minecraft: The Way Home” with 1.5 million views.
Another successful YouTube channel by him is Not Alpharad, with over 215,000 subscribers and over 38 million views.
This channel consists of short videos from various games and parodies on daily life.
Panda Global Content Director and eSports Involvement
Back in 2016, Alpharad bought a minor stake in the eSports organization Panda Global, thus becoming the content director as well as a minority shareholder. He supervised and directed content that was to be uploaded on Panda’s YouTube channel and other media outlets.
Since then, he’s worked closely with the eSports organization, and in October 2021 he hosted a Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl charity tournament with Panda Global member Coney for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation – the entire tournament guested the likes of such popular content creators as Ludwig Ahgren, Jaiden Animations, Trihex, and Cr1TiKal, among others; they raised more than $100,000.
Moreover, in January 2020 Alpharad participated in a Pokémon VGC tournament with fellow competitive Super Smash Bros. players ESAM, Mew2King, and Ludwig Ahgren among other content creators, while in March of the same year, during the COVID-19 pandemic quarantine he co-hosted five online tournaments called the “Quarantine Series” with fellow YouTuber CrlTiKal. The tournaments consisted of two events called Minors and Majors, which offered the winners a prize of $5,000, and 10,000 respectively. The majors featured some of the top “Super Smash Bros.” players, Samsora, Nairo, MKLeo, and Marss, with the entire event streamed on Alpharad’s YouTube channel, viewers enjoying the moves on Cr1TiKaL’s Twitch channel.

Music Career
Alpharad has expressed his musical talents through the Indie/Alternative group Ace of Hearts. The first single “Fool For You” the band released in the midst of the COVID-19 lockdown, followed by their debut EP “Monophobia”, which was released on 5 June 2020. Since then, the band has released a second EP, “Scorpion Queen”, while their most recent release is the single “Lights Out”, which came out on 31 March 2021.

Alpharad has expressed his acting talents through a couple of pop-up shows, including through a performance of “Romeo & Juliet” with his friends and colleagues Deanna Gowland, who was Juliet, Anthony Potero as Mercutio, and Jaiden Dittfach as Benvolio, among others.
