The girls envisioned a channel that would appeal to a wide range of viewers, providing a mix of entertainment and relatable content.

YouTube content

One of the reasons for Seven Super Girls’ popularity was the diverse range of content produced by its members; the channel offered a mix of challenges, skits, vlogs and DIY projects, attracting a wide audience. Whether viewers were interested in arts and crafts, fitness, or simply enjoying humorous skits, the channel had something for everyone.

Fanbase

The appeal of Seven Super Girls extended beyond entertainment, as the girls’ relatability resonated with their audience. Many viewers looked up to the girls as role models, and the positive messages found in their videos influenced the way young viewers perceived themselves and others.

The end of the popular channel

In 2018, the YouTube channel underwent significant changes as the original creators and some of the long-standing members decided to part ways with the channel, marking the end of an era. The decision was met with mixed reactions from fans, who had grown attached to the personalities and content of the original Seven Super Girls.

The departure of the founding members and several other factors led to the rebranding of the channel; it was renamed to “Sakura7”, and introduced new faces to continue the legacy. However, the change sparked discussions among fans about the irreplaceable charm of the original Seven Super Girls, which led to the new channel’s failure and its eventual removal from the video sharing service.

What they left behind

While the channel as the world knew it may have come to an end, the impact it had on the YouTube community and its viewers cannot be taken away. The channel left a lasting legacy, influencing the way young creators approached content creation on social media networks. The friendship of the original members and the positive messages sent through their videos continue to resonate with those who fondly remember the era of Seven Super Girls.

Each member of Seven Super Girls played a unique role in shaping the channel’s identity and success; their individual talents, personalities and collaborative efforts created a formula that captivated millions of viewers worldwide. Whether it was Jazzy’s creativity, Kaelyn’s humor, Jenna’s athleticism, Katherine and Rachael’s sibling bond, Nicole’s artistic endeavors or Emily and Samantha’s playful dynamics, each member left an indelible mark on the hearts of their fans.

Where are they today?

Most of the founding girls revealed to their fans in 2018 that they would be leaving the channel so that they could focus on their education; new girls came to take their place, however, in March 2019, YouTube shut down the channel after one of its main creators Ian Rylett, aged 55 at that time pleaded guilty to child abuse. A spokesperson for YouTube stated that they take safety on YouTube very seriously, and that they also work closely with many child safety organizations.
