O’Ryan is an American R&B singer ,who came to prominence with the song “Take It Slow”, and the studio album “O’Ryan”.

He was born as O’Ryan Omir Browner on 12 February 1987 under the Aquarius zodiac sign, in Inglewood, California, USA, to Trent Grandberry and his wife, Leslie Burrell. He has six siblings, including older brother Omarion, an R&B star. Other siblings include sisters Kira, Arielle and Amira, and brothers Ukil and Tymon.

O’Ryan’s educational background is still a mystery, as he hasn’t said a word about it.


O’Ryan’s career was rather short-lived. His first and only self-titled album came out in 2004, and peaked at No. 75 on the US Billboard 200 chart, and reached No. 21 on the Top R&B / Hip-Hop Albums chart.

He then went into obscurity until 2010, when he teamed up with rapper Tank to release the song “America’s Most Wanted”.


To speak further of his accomplishments, O’Ryan tried himself as an actor back in 2006, in the film “Dr. Dolittle 3”, in which he portrayed Carl, while in 2014, he appeared in an episode of the famous reality TV show “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood”.

When it comes to his personal life, O’Ryan is known for his relationship with singer Jhene Aiko. The two met during his time with B2K, as Jhene was a backup singer for the band and featured in several of their music videos.

She has gone on to win over the music scene, with such songs as “Bed Peace”, a duet with Childish Gambino, then “The Worst”, “Sativa” on which she worked with Rae Sremmurd and Swae Lee, and “Triggered (Freestyle)”.

The two were together from 2005 to 2008 and had a daughter Namiko Love Browner, born on 19 November 2008, and who is already familiar with the music industry, having recorded the song “Sing to Me” with her mother.

Although O’Ryan and Jhene broke up, they are still good friends and are raising their daughter together. He even appeared in her music video for the song “Spotless Mind” in 2015.

Born Omari Ishmael Grandberry on 12 November 1984, in Inglewood, California USA, he became interested in dancing at an early age, and initially launched a career with the R&B girl group Before Dark, making appearances in their music videos as a background dancer, but started pursuing wider music aspirations soon after. It didn’t take much time, as in 1999 he became the lead singer of the boy band B2K – for ‘Boys of The New Millennium’, and assumed the stage name Omarion.

Their debut single “Uh Huh” came out two years after the band’s formation. The full-length album “B2K” followed soon after in March 2002, and the band released two other albums, “Santa Hooked Me Up” and “Pandemonium,” in 2002,  before they disbanded in early 2004.

O’Ryan then started working on a solo career, and his debut album “O” came out on 22 February 2005. The album topped US Billboard 200 and US R&B charts while it achieved gold status. Omarion continued to make new music, and his second release, “21” came out on 26 December 2006, topping both the Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Album charts.

Through 2010, Omarion released twomore  albums, “Face Off” and “Ollusion,” that failed to achieve the success of its predecessors.


However, this didn’t discourage him, and his fifth album, “Sex Playlist,” came out on 2 December 2014, followed by the album “The Kinection” in 2020, which was released through his own Omarion Worldwide label, both with moderate success.

In addition to his music career, Omarion is an acclaimed actor. He showcased acting skills for the first time in 2004, in the dance drama film “You Got Served”, written and directed by Christ Stokes. The same year, Omarion was Reggie, the school bully, in the film “Fat Albert”, then from 2005 to 2006, he portrayed Darius in the TV comedy series “Cuts”, starring Shannon Elizabeth, Shondrella Avery and Rashaan Nall.

In 2007, he starred in the music-drama film “Feel the Noise” alongside Giancarlo Esposito and Melonie Diaz, and the same year as Darryl Jennings in the horror film “Somebody Help Me”. Three years later, he appeared in the action-thriller film “Wrong Side of Town”, written and directed by David DeFalco, and starring Rob Van Dam, Dave Bautista and Lara Grice. Also in 2010, Omarion reprised the role of Darryl in the sequel “Somebody Help Me 2”, which is one of his latest on-screen appearances. To speak further of his accomplishments, in 2010 he was a judge on the talent show “America’s Best Dance Crew”, and in 2021, featured in the show “The Masked Singer”.


According to sources, Omarion’s net worth has been estimated to be around $8 million as of early 2022, earned through his successful career in the entertainment industry.

In regards to his personal life, Omarion was in a relationship with singer-songwriter Apryl Jones from 2013 to 2016, and the couple welcomed two children during this period, a son born in 2014 and a daughter born in 2016. Their romance was one of the subjects in the reality show “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood”.

There is no further information on O’Ryan’s love life, so as of early 2022 he’s assumed to either be single, or keeping a low profile.
