Olly Sholotan Wiki Bio
American actor and music composer of Nigerian descent Olly Sholotan, was born in Atlanta, Georgia USA, on 5 April 1998, so Aries is his zodiac sign. He’s appeared in two TV series and eight movies, and is perhaps known best for playing Lewis Washington in the critically acclaimed 2020 crime action movie “Run Hide Fight”, written and directed by Kyle Rankin, and which starred Isabel May, Radha Mitchell and Thomas Jane. It follows 17 years old Zoe Hull and her friends, as they’re trying to survive a school shooting.
Education and early life
Olly was raised in Houston, Texas alongside his sister Modasola and brother whose name hasn’t been disclosed, by their mother Yemi Sholotan who’s an entrepreneur and public worker, and father Bosun Osos who’s a businessman.
Olly was 13 when he became interested in acting, after watching an off-Broadway play with his parents. He studied at Kinder High School for Performing and Visual Arts and was into a number of activities during that time, playing football for the school’s team, acting with its drama club, and dancing.
Olly matriculated in 2016 and continued his education at the University of California, Los Angeles’ School of Theatre, Film and Television, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in 2020.

Olly made his debut film appearance in the 2017 short crime drama “Main Street”, and the following year saw him star as Jeremy in the short musical “Partying with Communists”.
In 2019, he starred as Chris in the short comedy “Shafted”, while the year 2020 saw him play Lloyd in the eponymous short drama, written and directed by Trae Whye, and which also starred Danny Royce and Will Osborn; it follows Lloyd as he’s struggling to find his place in society following his mother Sylvia’s death.
In 2021, Olly released his debut music video “Olly Sholotan: Enough For Me”, followed by his second “Olly Sholotan: Lie 2 Me” in the same year. In 2022, he played Benji Betts in the family drama Gigi & Nate”, directed by Nick Hamm, and which starred Charlie Rowe, Marcia Gay Harden and Jim Belushi. It follows Nate who’s been left a quadriplegic after being involved in an accident, while he decides to move on with his life only after meeting his service animal, the capuchin monkey Gigi.
Roles in TV series
Olly’s debut TV series role was playing Taequan Mann in the 2019 episode “m. A. A. d City” of the sports drama “All American”, which April Blair created, and which starred Michael Evans Behling, Samantha Logan and Daniel Ezra. It follows a teenage Football Player who’s just transferred to Beverly Hills High School from South Central, the series has been running since 2018, and has won one of its nine award nominations.
Olly’s only other TV series role has been portraying Carlton Banks, one of the main characters in the drama “Bel-Air”, created by Andy Borowitz and Susan Borowitz, and which also stars Jabari Banks, Cassandra Freeman and Jimmy Akingbola. It follows a street-smart teenager from West Philadelphia who’s just moved in with his wealthy relatives in Los Angeles; the series has been airing since 2022, and has won two of its 13 award nominations.
Other credits
Olly wrote, produced and performed the song “Next Shit” in the 2019 short comedy film “Shafted”, the song “Run With Me” in the 2019 short comedy movie “Stand Up”, and the song “Pure As Gold” in the 2020 crime action movie “Run Hide Fight”.
He composed the music for the 2021 short film “Text Me When You Get Home”.
Olly hosted the 2020 episode “Olly Sholotan on How he Channels Baby Keem in ‘Bel-Air’” of the talk-show “Rewind the Scene”, and the year 2022 saw him make a guest appearance in an episode of two talk-shows: “Today” and “Tamron Hall”.

Olly rarely speaks about his love life in public, but it’s believed that he dated American actress Isabel May in 2020, as both uploaded pictures onto their Instagram accounts which featured them hugging; Isabel’s appeared in 10 movies and TV series, and is perhaps best known for her roles in the comedy series “Young Sheldon” and “Alexa & Katie”, and the western mini-series “1883”.
Since the second half of 2022, Olly’s uploaded a number of pictures onto his Instagram account which feature him spending time with his new girlfriend, American non-celebrity Kiara Bryant. Her profession hasn’t been disclosed, but most of Olly’s fans believe that she’s trying to become an actress.
