He’s a YouTuber and a social media star under his professional name of Mr. Nightmare, who’s perhaps known best for his eponymous YouTube channel, which he launched on 3 August 2014; it’s today subscribed to by close to 5.5 million people, and numbers over 800 million views of all his videos combined. He’s amongst the most secretive of YouTubers, as he hasn’t shown his face on the internet, and only his voice can be heard in his videos. There’s a picture of a man on the internet, who’s believed to be Mr. Nightmare, but he hasn’t confirmed the picture’s authenticity.
Early life, mother and education
Mr. Nightmare was raised in New York by his parents, about whom nothing’s known as they prefer to be left out of media. He hasn’t mentioned having any siblings, and is thus believed to be an only child. Mr. Nightmare once stated that his mother was sick, and that he had to take some time off YouTube to take care of her; he also mentioned that, at that time, a popular YouTuber wanted to collaborate, but that he didn’t have time for it because of his mother’s needs.
Mr. Nightmare became interested in video games while attending a local elementary school, and was mostly focused on playing them on his PlayStation 1 console. It was when he was around 10 years old that he became interested in scary stories, especially in true ones.
Mr. Nightmare was into sports during his high school years, and played football for the school team, and occasionally tennis and basketball with his friends. It’s believed by some that Mr. Nightmare’s gay, and that this is why he doesn’t speak about his love life. There was a man on Reddit who claimed that he had once dated Mr. Nightmare, but it was later proven that he was lying, and the post was deleted.
There are also those who believe that Mr. Nightmare is today in a long-term relationship with a non-celebrity American girl, and that he prefers to keep her away from the media’s attention, however, this hasn’t been confirmed either.
