Issabela was born in Mexico City, on 6 February 1969 – her zodiac sign is Aquarius, and she holds Mexican nationality. She’s an actress and model, with close to 30 acting credits to her name, perhaps still known best for her portrayal of Virginia in the 2008 action crime adventure series “El Pantera”. It was created by Daniel Munoz, starred Luis Roberto Guzman and Ignacio Lopez Tarso, and follows Gervasio Robles Villa who has been wrongly imprisoned for allegedly murdering his fiancée.

Issabela is also known for being the half-sister of Jaime Federico Said Camil de Saldanha da Gama, a famous Mexican actor and singer-songwriter.

She was raised in Mexico City as an only child, by her mother Tony Starr, and her father Jaime Camil Garza who was a wealthy Mexican businessman.

Issabela became interested in acting and dancing at a very early age, and was nine when she started practicing both at a school for the performing arts. She enrolled at a local high school in 1983, joined its drama club and appeared in numerous plays performed at the school. Issabela was also quite sporting during her four years there, as she played both volleyball and soccer for the school’s teams.

She matriculated in 1987, and although she hasn’t spoken of her further education, it’s believed that she attended college, from which she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 1991. Issabela then worked various jobs in the following five years, prior to launching her acting career.

Issabela gained recognition in 2001, when she starred as Gloria Ocampo in the romantic drama “Lo Que es el Amor”, which also starred Claudia Ramirez and Leonardo Garcia Vale, and follows two women who are in love with the same man, with one being ready to do whatever it takes to have him for herself.
