Who is Penny Lancaster?

Penny, Lady Stewart was born as Penelope Claire Lancaster in Chelmsford, Essex, England, on 15 March 1971 – her zodiac sign is Pisces, and she holds British nationality. She’s a model, TV presenter and a photographer, who’s perhaps known best for being the wife of the British pop and rock musician Sir Roderick David ‘Rod’ Stewart.

Early life and education

Penny was raised in Essex alongside her brother Oliver, by their mother Sally and father Graham; nothing else is known about Penny’s family, as she respects their privacy.

She was six years old when she started taking dancing lessons, while she was mostly focused on practicing modern, ballet and tap dance. Penny enrolled at a local high school in 1985, and was during her four years there interested in numerous activities, including acting with the school’s drama club, singing and practicing gymnastics.

She was 16 when she quit dancing, because of her height, and thus focused on aerobics, six years later becoming a certified fitness coach.

On 27 November 2005, Penny gave birth to their son Alastair Wallace Stewart, and on 16 June 2007, Rod and Penny married in a large ceremony at La Cervara in Italy. The two revealed on 17 February 2011 that Penny had given birth to their second son Aiden Patrick Stewart.

As of November 2021, Penny’s married to Rod Stewart, and has two children with him.

Penny is suffering from hyperhidrosis, a condition which causes excessive sweating, and has just recently also been diagnosed with dyslexia.

Rod was born in Highgate, London, England, on 10 January 1945 – his zodiac sign is Capricorn, and he holds British nationality. He’s believed to be one of the best British singers of all time, and has reputedly sold more than 250 million albums around the world.

Rod was raised in Highgate alongside his four older siblings, by their father Robert Joseph Stewart who was a master builder, and their mother Elsie Rebecca Gilbart who was a housewife. He studied at Highgate Primary School from which he moved on to William Grimshaw Secondary Modern School; he was mostly interested in soccer during those years, and was the captain of his school’s team. Rod quit school when he was 15 years old.

It was in January 1959 that he received a guitar from his father, and the first song which he learned to play was “It Takes a Worried Man to Sing a Worried Song”. It was in 1963 that he joined the blues band Dimensions, playing harmonica, while the band was then renamed to Jimmy Powell & the Five Dimensions.

He launched his solo career in October 1964, with the release of his debut single “Good Morning Little Schoolgirl”, which attracted some attention but failed to enter any charts. He became a vocalist in the Jeff Beck Group in February 1967, and with them toured around Europe in 1968; their debut album “Truth” was released in August 1968, peaking at #15 on the US Albums Chart.

Rod released his debut album “An Old Raincoat Won’t Ever Let You Down” in 1969, while he then became a member of the band Faces, and they released their debut album “First Step” in 1970.

He was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in May 2000, and had to undergo surgery; even though it was successful, Rod had to learn to sing all over again. In 2017, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, which was gone after he underwent treatment.

Rod became Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2007, and was in 2016 knighted for his contribution to music.

He has eight children with five women, and was married twice before meeting Penny.
