Early life and education
Darby Stanchfield was born under the zodiac sign of Taurus on 29 April 1971, in Kodiak, Alaska USA; she holds American nationality, and she comes from a family of Caucasian descent. Her father was a commercial fisherman, but she hasn’t shared his name, and there is also little known about her mother, except that she was raised by them, and that her family also lived on islands Aleutian and Mercer, and finally settled in Seattle, a seaport city in Washington State.

Darby made her acting debut portraying Nora in an episode of the series “Diagnosis Murder” in 2000, and was next seen as Denise in “Angel” in 2001. In the following years, she guest-starred in series such as “American Dreams” (2002), “Monk” (2003), “Strong Medicine” (2004), “24” (2005), before in 2006 being cast to play Doctor April Green in “Jericho” through 2008.
Concurrently, she was seen as Amelia Joffe in “General Hospital” in 2007, and she also portrayed Helen Bishop in “Mad Men” in 2007 and 2008.
In the following years, Darby was seen starring in “Private Practice”, “The Mentalist”, and “Ghost Whisperer”, but mostly guest-starred in numerous series, plus having recurring roles in “NCIS”, “Castle”, and “Exes & Ohs” through 2012, when she was cast to play Abby Whelan in “Scandal” which aired until 2018.

Her next role came in 2007, when she was cast to play Francine Pomatter in “Waitress”, and then she was seen as Loretta Johnson in the short drama movie “The Sacrifice” in 2009, and two years later portrayed Karen in the horror movie “Serving Up Richard”.
