Early life and education

Brenna grew up in suburban Chicago, alongside her sister Aubree. Their father’s name is Dave, and their mother is Shannon.

Brenna started showing interest in acting at an early age, and even began doing improv comedy as early as 2012. After matriculating from a local high school, she didn’t enroll at college, but instead moved to Los Angeles, California, to pursue a career in the entertainment industry, where she took LA Casting Director Workshops training.

Roles in movies

Brenna made her acting debut in 2015, in the Disney Channel musical fantasy movie “Descendants”, directed by Kenny Ortega, and which starred Dove Camron, Sofia Carson and Booboo Stewart. It follows a group of teenager, who are all children of famous Disney villains, such as Maleficent, Jafar and Cruella de Vil, as they try to rescue their parents from prison. The film was viewed by more than 6.6 million people on its premiere night, and has received mostly positive reviews from the critics. In the movie, Brenna played the role of Jane, the daughter of Fairy Godmother, from the animated classic Cinderella, and reprised her role in the two sequels, released in 2017 and 2019, as well as in its two TV series spin-offs.

In 2018, we saw Brenna star in the TV comedy “Crazy Wonderful”, written by Bobby Bowman, directed by Ian Fitzgibbon, and which also starred Ginger Gonzaga and Lilla Crawford. In the following year, she had a leading role in the family drama “Adventures of Dally & Spanky”, centered on a girl who inherits a pony that develops an unlikely friendship with her sister’s pet dog.

Brenna’s most recent film role was in the 2020 drama “The Never List”, in which she starred as a teenage girl whose best friend commits suicide, leading her to fulfill their secret list of outrageous acts they said they’d never do. Aside form being an actress, Brenna is also a talented singer. In 2016, she performed the song “Rather Be With You” in the episode of “Descendants: Wicked World”, entitled “Slumber Party”.

Cameron was born in Los Angeles on 28 May 1999, and was an actor a dancer, perhaps known best his roles in movies such as “Mrs. Fletcher”, “Grown Ups” and “Steps”, as well as his numerous appearances in Disney Channel series. Cameron passed away on 6 July 2019, after suffering an epileptic seizure in his sleep.

In 2019, Brenna was in a relationship with fellow actor Christian Weissmann, known for his role in the 2016 comedy drama “When the Starlight Ends”.
