Career Beginning
Vanessa began her acting career with roles in several Canadian TV shows, including “Popular Mechanics,” “Are You Afraid of the Dark,” and “Radio Active” in 2000. She later lent her voice to a character in the animated show “Arthur”, before she landed a lead role in the movie “Ratz” in 2002. In the same year, she was selected for the notable role of Roxanne in the NBC TV show “American Dreams”, and was later seen in the film “The Perfect Man” opposite Hilary Duff.
Rise to Stardom and Role in “Glee”
2005 saw Vanessa making her career breakthrough with her role of Natasha in the TV film “Waiting…”, then reprising the role in its 2009 sequel “Still Waiting…”.
