Who is Macarena Garcia?
Spanish actress Macarena Garcia de la Camacha Gutierrez-Ambrossi was born under the zodiac sign Taurus on 26 April 1988, in Madrid, Spain. She has 14 acting credits and is perhaps known best for playing Maria Asuncion Machu Salas in 66 episodes of the 2018 romantic series “Like, la Leyenda”, which starred Santiago Achaga, Mauricio Abad and Alejandro Belmonte. It follows a group of teenagers attending the private high school LIKE, and the series won one of its 14 award nominations.

Macarena was raised in Madrid alongside her older brother Javier Ambrossi, who’s today also a successful actor, by their father Javier Garcia de la Camacha and mother Sofia Ambrossi; Macarena and her brother rarely talk about their parents in public because they respect their privacy.

The year 2019 saw Macarena appear in the episode “La Venganza” of the drama “Decisions: Some Win and Others Lose”, and in 2020 and 2021, she portrayed one of the main characters Alejandra Rivera in all 92 episodes of the comedy “100 Dias Para Enamorarnos”, created by Sebastian Ortega, and which also starred Ilse Salas and Mariana Trevino. It follows two couples who’ve given each other 100 days to fall back in love, and the series won one of its two award nominations.
From 2020 through 2022, Macarena starred as Natalia in all 24 episodes of the thriller “Control Z”, which Adriana Pelusi and Miguel Garcia Moreno created, and which also starred Michael Ronda and Ana Valeria Becerril. It follows introvert Sofia who’s trying to discover the identity of a person who’s revealing her high school friends’ secrets on the internet, and the series won one of its three award nominations.
The year 2022 saw Macarena appear in an episode or two of the crime mystery thriller mini-series “Belascoaran, PI”, the thriller “Mujeres Asesinas” and the drama “La Rebelion”, and her only other TV series role has been starring as Valeria Bernal in all 120 episodes of the 2023 drama “Mi Secreto”, which also starred Diego Klein and Andres Baida, and follows Valeria who’s taken on the identity of her dead friend Natalia so that she won’t go to jail.

Macarena’s appeared in only a single movie. She played one of the main characters Sofi Fojo in the 2023 thriller comedy “Senora Influencer”, which Carlos Santos wrote and directed, and which also starred Monica Huarte and Diana Carreiro. It follows Fatima who’s become one of the most popular social media personalities in the world, and the film was nominated for five awards.
