Gray made his acting debut in the one-hour-15-minute-long video “13133: Wicked Stepbrother” in 2011. In the same year, he portrayed a diver in the short film “L.A. Dy Dior.” Gray made his career breakthrough in 2013, when he was cast as Troy Burrows – aka Red Megaforce Ranger – in the TV show “Power Rangers Megaforce,” which is the 12th season of the long-running acclaimed TV series “Power Rangers.” “Power Rangers Megaforce” follows five teenagers, who are recruited and trained in different kinds of martial arts by the Earth’s keeper, Gosei, before they’re assigned to protect humanity from the fierce Warstar aliens. Andrew appeared in 42 episodes (in 2013 and 2014) and shared the screen with the likes of Ciara Hanna, Christina Masterson, and John Mark Loudermilk. In 2013 and 2015, Andrew reprised the role of Troy Burrows in the videos “Power Rangers Megaforce: Ultimate Team Power” and “Power Rangers Megaforce: The Legendary Battle”. Speaking about his experience in the TV series, Gray told “Digital Journal” in an interview, ‘Playing Troy was a dream come true – as a kid, watching Power Rangers growing up, the show was freeing for me. It was my escape, and I was blown away by it at the time.’
In 2016, Andrew portrayed a naked man in an episode of the TV series “Dirty Talk.” Two years later, he was cast as Mark in two episodes of the TV series “Betrayed.” 2021 saw Andrew voice Gerald in the computer-animated science fiction film, “Panda vs. Aliens” which also starred the voices of Chevy Chase, Sean Patrick O, and Dan Payne. Andrew began dating the Chinese-American film producer, serial entrepreneur, and investor, Kelly Mi Li, sometime in 2016. The duo has worked together on several projects including “Bling Empire,” in which Kelly starred and served as an executive producer. The duo was fond of making public appearances together, and often posted their photos going on adventures – they’d adopted a dog named Kilo. In 2021, the duo announced on their respective Instagram accounts that they were ending their five-year-long on-and-off relationship. They both admitted that their decision to break up was difficult but mutual, and Kelly captioned one of their photos, ‘Over the past 5 and half years, Andrew and I have shared some incredible times together. I have a tremendous amount of respect and love for him and will always cherish the memories we made.’ The duo didn’t give the exact reason for breaking up; however, they hinted that the breakup had something to do with their desires to focus on their careers and personal growth.
Following the breakup, Kelly went on to date the San Francisco-based police officer, William Ma, and in April 2023, the couple welcomed their first child together – she revealed the sex of the child (a girl) later that year.
