Tré Melvin hails from Dayton, Ohio, and was born under the Scorpio zodiac sign on 28 October 1992, which makes him 31 years old as of early 2024. He’s the son of Edward Lee Melvin Jr. but hasn’t disclosed the name of his mother. The YouTuber has a younger sister named Kaylah Melvin. Tré’s parents relocated to Orlando when he was a child. He began expressing an interest in acting at an early age, and started by appearing in several stage plays, TV commercials, musicals, and short films at the age of 11.

According to his YouTube description, Tré studied music, creative writing, and theater at the Dayton-based Stivers School for the Performing Arts when he was between seven and 12 years old. In 2015, Melvin appeared in the video “Fifth Harmony: Worth It, PARODY.” He was then seen in an episode of the TV series “Boyfriends”, and in another parody video entitled “Little Mix: Hair, PARODY” in 2016. In the same year, he performed in two episodes of the TV mini-series “12 Deadly Days.” 2017 saw Melvin write, produce and appear in six episodes of the TV miniseries “The Vacation”, and five episodes of the TV miniseries “Drea & Michelle.” He guest-starred in an episode of the TV series “FANtasies” in 2017, which was followed by an appearance in the short film “The Fight” in 2021; the year also saw him write, produce and star in the short film “My Ex-Husband Married My Brother.”

Some of his most popular videos include “Ghetto Christmas Carols” (uploaded on 15 December 2012), and “B*tches Be Like,” (uploaded on 12 January 2012), which have over 17.8 million and 7.5 million views respectively. Tré has released several songs and Extended Plays (EPs). On 21 November 2019, he released his first EP, “Pluto,” which is comprised of several tracks including “Numb,” “Mile,” and “Dead People.” He also released the playlist “I’m Not Sure but It’s Cold” in late 2020, which is made up of 10 songs including “Should Be” and “Something in the Water”. Some of Tré’s other popular tracks include 2021’s “Pls, Disinfect,” and 2022’s “Die 1,000 Times.”

According to his LinkedIn page, Melvin is the founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tré Melvin Studios, which was launched in 2011. In 2021, he launched the Los Angeles, California-based Melvin Enterprises, and in the year that followed, he opened the creative brand design and graphic studio, Melvin Designs, which he serves as the CEO and designer – the firm is also based in Los Angeles. Car Accident

Tré Melvin narrowly escaped death when he was involved in a fatal automobile accident, which resulted in the death of his friend, Katherya Pacheco-Mendoza, on 22 June 2020. He told his fans about the accident on Twitter. Tré and Katherya sustained brain injuries but while he was stabilized, Katherya was unresponsive. Tré alleged that the accident was a case of hit-and-run.

Death Hoax

Melvin’s name hit the headlines on 4 May 2022, when he posted his obituary on his Twitter account. At first look, his supporters and fans were devastated but they soon noticed that the obituary stated that he’d died on 6 May 2022, which was then 48 hours into the future: ‘An outdated variant of Dayton, Ohio-born actor, writer, producer, singer, songwriter, designer, poet, philanthropist, clairvoyant, and digital creator Tré Melvin peacefully departed this life, for the thousandth time, on Friday, 6 May 2022. Upon his deathbed, he documented his final thoughts.’ After learning that the news was fake, fans and critics were outraged and flooded his social media accounts to criticize him.

In response to the announcement, Tré told Blavity that the ‘obituary’ was posted a few days before the release of his new single track “Die 1,000 Times’, adding that the post was just a creative marketing technique. Melvin is alive and seemingly in good health as of early 2024.
