Tracey Renee Needham was born in Dallas, Texas USA, on 28 March 1967 – her zodiac sign is Aries, and she holds American nationality. She’s an actress with close to 30 credits to her name, while she’s perhaps still known best for her portrayal of Inspector Candace ‘C. D.’ DeLorenzo in the mystery crime series “The Division’. Early life and education
Tracey was raised in Dallas alongside her three brothers, by their father who was a homebuilder, and their mother who was a housewife; not a lot is known about her siblings and parents, as she respects their privacy.
Tracey was eight years old when she moved with her family to Denver in Colorado, where her father had found work; they then often moved back and forth between Denver and Dallas, mostly because of his work. She became interested in acting while attending Cherry Creek High School, perhaps because she was encouraged by her drama teacher to appear in school plays. Tracey also spent a year attending Plano Senior High School, and matriculated in 1985.
She spent the following three years travelling around Australia and Europe, before in 1988 Tracey moved to Los Angeles, California, where she began taking acting lessons, and launched her acting career.

She made her debut TV series appearance with her portrayal of Gloria Connor in the 1988 episode “Rhapsody in Blue” of the crime drama “Jake and the Fatman”. The following years saw her appear in an episode or two of various series, including the sports comedy “Coach”, and the drama “Shannon’s Deal”.
She gained recognition in 1990, when cast to star as Paige Thatcher in the drama “Life Goes On”, created by Michael Braverman, and which also starred Kellie Martin and Chris Burke. The series follows the lives of an All-American family, aired from 1989 to 1993, and won 11 awards, including two Primetime Emmys, while it was nominated for 20 other awards.
Tracey’s also known for her portrayal of Meg Austin, in the critically acclaimed action crime drama “JAG”, which aired from 1995 to 2005 (she was a member of the cast in 1995 and 1996), and won 15 awards, including three Primetime Emmys, while it was nominated for 17 other awards.
A couple of her following roles were in four episodes of the adventure science fiction drama “VR. 5”, 12 episodes of the action crime drama “Total Security”, and the 2000 episode “School Daze” of the mystery science fiction drama “The Pretender”.

Tracey made her debut film appearance with her portrayal of the lead character Bonnie Parker, in the 1992 crime drama “Bonnie & Clyde: The True Story”, written and directed by Gary Hoffman, and which also starred Dana Ashbrook and Doug Savant.
It follows the story of the criminals Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, who were madly in love.
A couple of Tracey’s following roles were in the 1993 biographical drama “Prophet of Evil: The Ervil LeBaron Story”, the drama “Lush Life” in the same year, and the 1994 thriller drama “Sensation”. In 1995, she was cast to play Julia Van Degen, in the drama “919 Fifth Avenue”, directed by Neil Hagar, and which starred Barry Bostwick, Noelle Beck and Stephen Caffrey. It follows a biographer who has been hired by a prominent family, and after a neighbor is killed, he believes that a member of the family might be the killer.
In 1997, Tracey starred as Lorraine Kidston, in the action western “Last Stand at Saber River”, and the same year saw her play Roxanne in the crime horror thriller “Buried Alive II”, as well as the lead character Stacey, in the short drama “Tupperware Party”.

In 2001, she was cast to play Elsie Fleming in the drama “The Ponder Heart”, directed by Martha Coolidge, and which starred Peter MacNicol, JoBeth Williams and Angela Bettis. It follows Daniel Ponder who has married the teenage girl Bonnie Dee Peacock, and is now on trial for her murder.

On 1 January 1995, Tracey married the American actor Hiram Thomas ‘Tommy’ Hinkley, who has appeared in close to 80 movies and TV series, and is perhaps still known best for his performances in the 2000 family adventure comedy movie “The Little Vampire”, and the 2008 romantic comedy film “Leatherheads”.
In 1999, Tracey gave birth to their daughter Katie, but whom they’ve been keeping away from the media’s attention.
Tracey and her husband can be seen attending various red carpet events together, and most recently in July 2021, they opened their own children’s action school in Denver.
Tracey hasn’t spoken of any other men (or women) whom she has perhaps been with, and as of September 2021, she’s married to Tommy Hinkley, and they have a daughter together.
Hobbies and other interests
Tracey enjoyed playing football during her teenage years, and was allowed to play with boys because she was already 5ft 11ins (1.8m) tall while attending a local high school.
She loves to travel, and her acting career has taken her to many US states, as well as to a couple of European countries, including England and France; Tracey’s dream travel destination is Dubrovnik in Croatia.
She’s a lover of animals, and has apparently donated money to various animal shelters in California.
Late at night, Tracey enjoys watching movies starring her favorite actor and actress, Tom Hanks and Scarlett Johansson, such as “The Terminal”, “Forrest Gump” and “Lost in Translation”.
She’s passionate about tasting various cuisines, as well as cooking herself, and has shared a couple of her original recipes with her fans.
