Who is Andrew Keegan?

American actor Andrew Keegan was born in Los Angeles, California USA, on 29 January 1979, making his zodiac sign Aquarius. He’s had roles in nearly 60 movies and TV series, and is perhaps still best known for his playing of Joey Donner in the hit 1999 romantic comedy movie “10 Things I Hate About You”, which Gil Junger directed, and which starred Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Julia Stiles and Heath Ledger. It follows two teenage boys who want to date two sisters; the film won two of its 15 award nominations.

Andrew’s still today quite active in the movie industry, and is currently shooting for the upcoming film “High Tide”.

Education and early life

Andrew and his younger brother Casey were raised in Los Angeles by their father Larry Heying, who was an American voice actor, and their Colombian mother Lana (nee Ocampo) who was a hairdresser; Andrew rarely speaks about his family in public, as he respects their privacy.

He became interested in acting at a quite an early age, and was 14 when he won his debut movie role, voicing Wally in the 1993 animated family drama “The Halloween Tree”, while the same year saw him make his debut TV series appearance, playing Landon Thompson in the episode “Blindside” of the action crime adventure “Baywatch”. In 2011, he was cast to play Jeremiah in the romantic comedy “Love, Wedding, Marriage”, directed by Dermot Mulroney, and which starred Mandy Moore, Kellan Lutz and James Brolin; it tells the story of a marriage counselor who’s recently married, and whose life has been shaken by her parents’ divorce.

Andrew’s since had only a couple of film roles, with his three most recent having been in the 2018 fantasy horror comedy “Living Among Us”, the 2019 short drama “Mina Tobias: Shoes”, and the 2020 crime thriller “Adverse”.
