He was raised in Oak Park, Illinois alongside his brother Nick and sister Allison, by their father Richard Galecki who was in the US Air Force and was station in Belgium when Johnny was born, and mother Mary Louise Noon who was a mortgage consultant. He completed his elementary education in 1989 and dropped out of high school after having attended it for only a single day.
