Tim Chapman Net Worth $3 Million

Tim is the son of Ronald Chapman and his wife Diane Wimberly, who both worked in bail bonds. His parents divorced when he was only two and a half years old, and together with his brother he lived with his paternal grandparents for two years. However, in his teens, he moved in with his mother and her parents, a family that owned and operated ABC Bail Bonds. He soon joined the family business, and while there met and befriended Duane “Dog” Chapman; the two aren’t related.

Tim also became friends with Duane’s girlfriend Beth Smith and his son Leland. They soon moved to Hawaii and started the Da Kine Bail Bonds company. He lived off the salary from the business, but eventually that proved to be insufficient.

Subsequently they began hunting fugitives on the Hawaiian Islands, and after years of successful work, they were selected for the new A&E reality TV series “Dog Bounty Hunters” (2003-2012). They caught numerous villains, but also had several problems with the law. Tim was arrested twice while on the show, firstly in 2006 as a consequence of chasing and capturing serial rapist Andrew Luster in Mexico. Tim was released with a bail of $100,000, and a year later, charges were dropped by the Mexican government.

The second happened in 2008, when he allegedly ran his truck just centimeters from a guard at the Ala Moana Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, while he was also accused for indecent behavior, as according to witnesses he was fondling himself. Again, all charges were dropped in 2009. There was a suspicion that Chapman was himself harassed when he was recognized from his TV appearances.

Regarding his personal life, Tim was married to Davina until 2010; the couple have four children. Also, Tim has a son, Tim Chapman Jr., from one of his previous relationships.
