The hardest situation for this couple was when Ben was accused of alleged sexual assault by Andrea McNulty in 2008 – the entire football community was shocked by these allegations. Andrea accused Ben of sexual advances and harassment on a night in July 2008, during a celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, California. However, due to lack of evidence, the accusations against Ben were dropped in 2011, after which Ben and Ashley married on 23 July 2011, at Christ Church, in Groves Farm, Pennsylvania, in the presence of over 600 guests.
