They then worked on their second EP entitled “Collage”, followed in 2017 by The Chainsmokers releasing the song “Paris”, which would find popularity in the US as well as Canada. They then announced their debut studio album, and were planning the “Memories Do Not Open Tour” – the album would be revealed with the title “Memories…Do Not Open” and would be released through Disruptor/Sony, followed by the collaborative single entitled “Something Just Like This” which they did with Coldplay; the single would break records for most views of a lyric video in one day, and meantime their album debuted in the top spot of the Billboard 200 album list, and was later certified platinum. These activities led to them being listed by Forbes as the third highest paid DJs of 2017, with earnings at $38 million – their net worth had dramatically increased thanks to their success.
For their personal lives, not much is known about The Chainsmokers romantic relationships, if any. Alex Pall’s father is an art dealer. Andrew Taggart’s father sold prosthetics while his mother is a teacher.
