Tempestt Bledsoe is an American award-winning actress, perhaps still best known to the world as Vanessa Huxtable in the TV series “The Cosby Show” (1984-1992), and as Marny in the TV series “Guys with Kids” (2012-2013), among others.

Career Beginnings and Immediate Success

Interested in acting from an early age, Tempesst, made her debut as Vanessa Huxtable in 1984 at just 11 years old. Her character is the fourth child of Cliff and Clair Huxtable, and she starred in 157 episodes of the long-running sitcom “The Cosby Show” (1984-1992).

While on the show, Tempestt turned into a star, and took home a few awards, including the Young Artist Award in the category for Best Young Actor/Actress Ensemble in a Television Comedy, Drama Series or Special.

She guest-starred as Vanessa Huxtable in the TV series “A Different World” in 1989, and  in the 1990 TV special “The Earth Day Special”.

In 2012 she voiced Sheriff Hooper in the animated film “ParaNorman”, which earned her a Black Reel Award nomination in the category for Best Voice Performance. Although the two aren’t married, they have been together ever since, and haven’t talked about any plans for the future. According to sources, they don’t have children.
