Taylor Armstrong Biography
Born Shana Hughes, the American reality television personality, businesswoman and philanthropist is much more famous by her current name – she is Taylor Armstrong, one of the main stars of the Bravo reality television series “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”, with an estimated net worth of $800,000. Appearing on various reality television shows such as the first episode of the MTV series “The Hills”, and recently the fourth season of the VH1 show “Couples Therapy”, Taylor Armstrong is still most famous as one of the long-standing regulars of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”, together with Adrienne Maloof, Kim Richards and Lisa Vanderpump.
Taylor Armstrong Net Worth $800,000
Otherwise known as a sharp businesswoman, being the president and one of the founders of the management consulting firm “Elmplement, Inc.”, Taylor Armstrong has enjoyed a successful career despite an often times troubled personal life, earning Armstrong her impressive net worth.
Born on 10 June 1971 in the city of Independence, Kansas, Taylor Armstrong has changed her name several times on her road to success – first named Shana Taylor, Armstrong later changed her name to Taylor Ford. For a time, Armstrong worked with the multination American pharmaceutical corporation, “Pfizer”, where she was one of the corporation’s pharmaceutical representatives. Wealth and fame, however, would find Taylor under her current name, after she married the venture capitalist Russell Armstrong in 2005. A year later, the couple would have a daughter, Kennedy Caroline Armstrong, and for a time the Armstrong family life looked to be perfect – between Taylor Armstrong and her husband, they were able to sustain a luxurious lifestyle, spending lavishly. By 2010, their apparent success had already caught the eye of the wider public, and Taylor Armstrong appeared with her family in the next instalment in Bravo’s “The Real Housewives” reality television series, titled “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”.
Unfortunately, not everything was as it seemed. Over the course of the show’s first season, other members of the cast – which at the time included American television personality Camille Grammer, actress Kim Richards, and businesswoman and philanthropist Adrienne Maloof – began to notice that the Armstrongs were struggling financially as well as emotionally. With the truth out of the bag, Taylor Armstrong made public her husband’s tendency towards abusive behaviour, while Russell Armstrong himself was forced to reveal his desperate financial situation – the venture capitalist had already filed for bankruptcy back in 2005, and it seemed his fortunes had not improved since. There was to be no happy ending to the affair, as Russell Armstrong tragically took his own life in August 2011. Armstrong married attorney John Bluher in 2014, her daughter was adopted by Bluher.
Fortunately, Taylor Armstrong’s life and career seem to have taken a turn for the better since then. During her time on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”, the reality television star was reputed to make $175,000 every season from her salary alone. If you’re wondering just how rich is Taylor Armstrong right now, Armstrong’s net worth is believed to reach up to $800,000. A large part of this is due to her career on reality television, but not entirely – Armstrong is also involved in several businesses, being the president of “Elmplement, Inc.” and the Chief Creative Director of the website BeautyTicket.com.
Today, Taylor Armstrong continues her career on reality television, appearing in the 2014 season of “Couples Therapy”. Armstrong is strongly involved with the 1736 Family Crisis Centre, a charitable foundation devoted to helping the victims of domestic abuse.
