Steve Aoki is an electro house musician from America. He was born on November 30th, 1977 in Miami, Florida, but grew up in Newsport Beach, California with his mother, grandfather and two sisters and went to Newsport Harbor High School. There he took up badminton and was one of the best players. After graduating in 1995, Aoki studied at Santa Barbara University of California. He finished with bachelor degrees in Sociology and Feminist Studies.
So how rich is Steve Aoki. Sources estimate that Steve has a net worth of $80 million, most of his wealth having been accumulated from his musical career.
Steve Aoki Net Worth $80 Million
Steve‘s musical career took off when he establised his own label in 1996, called Dim Mak Records. They published works of house artists like Mustard Pimp, MSTRKRFT, Scanners, Klaxons, Infected Mushrooms, Mystery Jets and Bloody Beetroots, among others. The profits from there efforts were definitely a big part towards building Steve‘s net worth. Aoki also works as a DJ and produces remixes with Blake Miller under the name of Weird Science. Throughout his career, Steve has remixed many famous artists, among them being Drake, Jackson 5, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, All American Rejects, The Killers, Lenny Kravitz, Robin Thicke, Snoop Dogg and Eminem. This has also contributed towards his net worth.
Of course, we must not forget Aoki‘s public appearances. Steve puts much effort into his tours, with 250 concerts per year. His shows are famous for crowd surfing, spraying champagne and other stunts. These tours have earned him a place in Pollstar Top 100 North American Tours in 2012 where he was recognized as the highest grossing dance music artist for the first half of the year in North America. These performances are undoubtedly a big part of Aoki‘s revenue and net worth.
Steve‘s debut album was a mix album Pillowface and his Airplane Chronicles. It was released in 2008. Later on, in 2012 Aoki released his first studo album Wonderland, with guest appearances from LMFAO, Lovefoxxx, Kid Cudi, Lil Jon, NERVO, Chiddy Bang, Zuper Blahq, Wunter Gordon, Travis Barker and Rivers Cuomo. It was decently successful and raised Steve‘s net worth even higher. His latest album, Neon Future, Vol. 1, was released in 2014 and also features a lot of guest artists like Will.i.am, Chris Lake, Bonnie McKee and Flux Pavilion among others. A second part of this album, Neon Future, Vol. 2, is planned to be released in the winter of 2015.
Aoki has made appearances in various media too, for example video games NBA 2K8 and NBA 2K9 as a special player, even though he‘s not too fond of basketball. He has also made cameos in Cobra Starship‘s, The Sounds‘ and Kid Cudi‘s music videos. Steve even appeared in PETA‘s ad against wearing fur.
Steve has been nominated for several musical awards. In 2007 BPM Magazine called im the Best Party Rocker DJ and Paper Magazine proclaimed him the Best DJ of the Year. In the same year, he won Ibiza Awards nomination of Best Set of the Season. Then, in 2012 he was #15 in the DJ Magazine‘s Top 100 DJs list, and #2 in America‘s Best DJs list. In 2013 Steve was nominated for a Grammy. These awards also gave a boost to Aoki‘s net worth.

Quote
1
I'm a big supporter of The Singularity, and I really hope it happens in my lifetime because I don't want to die.
2
[on his performances] I picked a crew of artists that really understand the idea of turning up a party in their own way and make a crowd rage out and and go wild. When they go on, it's full throttle. The idea is to get people outside of their own space, lose themselves and go buck wild. You don't need drugs or anything. But you come to this show and you're going to lose your fucking face. That's what my aim is - I want to make people just go crazy.
