Jonathan Mortimer Smith was born on 17 January 1971, in Atlanta, Georgia USA. In the music world, he is known as Lil Jon, the person who created and popularized the hip hop style ‘crunk’, and who can play various musical instruments. Initially he was the leader of the music band Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz.
