Have you ever wondered how rich Sidney Rice is as of early 2017? Sidney Rice Net Worth $25 Million

Sidney is the son of Ida Coleman, and was raised in Gaffney with his two older brothers. He went to Gaffney High School where he played both football and basketball for the high school team, Gaffney Indians. During his high school career, Sidney received numerous honors including being named as All-State in both sports, and Offensive Player of the Year in football, among other accolades. He also won two state titles with the basketball team and a championship with the football team. After matriculation Sidney enrolled at the University of South Carolina, continuing his football career; in his first season he posted 1,143 yards with 70 catches, which led to 13 touchdowns. He played for the university until 2006 and recorded 23 touchdowns, which is the record of the team, breaking Sterling Sharpe’s record of 17 touchdowns.

Sidney`s professional career began in 2007 when he was selected as the 44th overall pick by the Minnesota Vikings in the NFL Draft. In his rookie year, Sidney played in 13 games, scoring four touchdowns out of 396 yards, before he injured his knee and missed the last couple of games. The second year brought new problems for the young Rice, as he only recorded 141 receiving yards since knee problems continued into the new season. Nevertheless, he managed to recover for his third season, in which he had eight touchdowns out of 1,312 yards. That was the best season in his short career, and thanks to that great performance, Sidney earned an appearance in the Pro-Bowl match, and selection into All-Pro team by Pro Football Focus.

However, the season was also unfortunate for Rice as he suffered another injury; Sidney hurt his hip against the New Orleans Saints in the match for the NFC Championship. He was in doubt whether to undergo a surgery or not, and waited until the training camp for next season.
He missed the first couple of games for the Vikings, and when he returned to the field, Sidney caught three passes for 56 yards. In total, he played in six games and scored two touchdowns with 280 yards.

After the season ended, the Vikings didn’t re-sign Sidney and as a result, he joined the Seattle Seahawks, signing a contract worth $41 million over five years, which increased his net worth by a large margin.

Unfortunately, Sidney`s injury problems continued and he wore the Seahawks jersey in only nine games, scoring two touchdowns and had 484 receiving yards. He played the full season for the first time since 2009 season in 2012, and scored seven touchdowns with 748 yards. His troubles didn`t seem to have an end however, and in 2013 he tore his ACL in late October which kept him sidelined for the rest of the season. Before the injury, Sidney played in eight games and scored three touchdowns adding 231 yards to his statistics. Eventually it turned out to be the last season for Sidney in NFL, as he retired in 2014.

Regarding his personal life, Sidney`s most intimate details are unknown in the media, as he tends to keep his life a secret.
