Robert Downey Jr. was born on 4 April 1965, in New York City USA, of Lithuanian-Jewish, Irish and Hungarian (father), and Scottish, German and Swiss (mother) descent. A screenwriter, singer, producer and actor, Robert is perhaps best known for his role of Charlie Chaplin in “Chaplin” (1992), which earned him a nomination for an Oscar.
