Phil Morris is an American award-winning film, television, and voice actor, probably best known to the world as Jack Chiles in the popular TV series “Seinfeld” (1995-1998), then as John Jones in the TV series “Smallville” (2006-2010), and most recently as Silas Stone in the TV series “Doom Patrol” (2019-2021), in addition to a number of other roles that he’s secured in his career.

Phil Morris was born on 4 April 1959 under the Aries zodiac sign, in Iowa City, Iowa USA. He is the son of late-great actor Greg Morris (1933-1996), and his wife Leona, who died in 2016. He is one of three children and has two sisters, Linda Morris and Iona Morris, who is also an actress. He went to Beverly Hills High School.

Career Beginnings
Phil’s career started when he was just seven years old with a minor role in the Primetime Emmy Award-winning Sci-Fi action-adventure series “Star Trek: The Original Series”, with such stars as Leonard Nimoy, William Shatner and Nichelle Nichols in the lead roles. After his debut, Phil focused on education, and didn’t return to acting until the mid- ‘70s. However, he didn’t have any major role until the mid- ‘80s, when he was chosen for the part of Tyrone Jackson in the lng-running soap opera “The Young and the Restless”.
He had several other notable roles before the end of the ‘80s, including as Jason in the TV series “It’s a Living” (1986-1988), then portraying Jerry Stockton in the TV comedy series “Marblehead Manor” (1987-1988), and from 1988 until 1990, he starred in the Primetime Emmy Award-nominated action-adventure series “Mission: Impossible”, co-starring Peter Graves, Thaao Penghlis and Anthony Hamilton.
Phil was becoming more popular as he was gradually developing as an actor, and in the ‘90s enjoyed success by portraying various recurring characters, including Eddie Brock in the TV drama series “WIOU” (1990-1991), in the aforementioned Primetime Emmy Award-winning comedy series “Seinfeld” (1995-1998), and as Walter in the award-winning romantic drama series “Melrose Place” (1996-1997).

Phil’s career started declining in the second half of the decade, making mostly one-time appearances in such TV series as “NCIS: Los Angeles” and “Young Sheldon” in 2017 and 2018 respectively, while in 2019 he started portraying Silas Stone in the TV series “Doom Patrol”, so far appearing in 13 episodes.
