Who is Erica Schmidt?

An actress and writer, Erica Schmidt was born under the zodiac sign of Gemini on 8 June 1975, in the USA, but her exact birthplace hasn’t been revealed. She holds American nationality, and her ethnicity is Caucasian. Erica is perhaps known best as the wife of the famous “Game of Thrones” actor, Peter Dinklage.

Speaking about her educational background, Erica attended a local high school, and upon matriculating in 1993, she enrolled at Vassar College, in Poughkeepsie, New York State, from which she graduated in 1997, with a Bachelor’s degree in Visual and Performing Arts (Theatre).

After graduating, Erica worked at the Julliard as a costume designer, before she started in the theatre as a writer and director; she has numerous theatre credits including “Debbie Does Dallas”, “Trust”, “As You Like It”, and “All the Fine Boys”, among others.

Erica won the Princess Grace Award in Theater Direction in 2001, and was nominated for the Drama Desk Award Outstanding Director of a Play, in 2020.

Their second child was born in September 2017, however, they haven’t revealed either the gender of the baby or the name.

He’s a producer and actor with over 85 credits to his name, whose most notable role was his portrayal of Tyrion Lannister in the world-famous series “Game of Thrones”.

He was raised in the Brookside section of Morris Township, alongside his brother Jonathan, by their parents – mother Diane was an elementary school teacher, and father John Carl Dinklage was an insurance salesman.

Peter and his brother had an interest in performing from an early age, and used to perform puppet musicals for their family and neighbors. While he was in elementary school, Peter made his acting debut in the school play “The Velveteen Rabbit”.

He attended Catholic preparatory Delbarton School for boys, and there developed his acting skills. Upon matriculating in 1987, Peter enrolled at Bennington College, from which he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Drama Arts, in 1991.
