In 2009, Nicki Minaj was transferred to “Young Money Entertainment”, where she caught the eye of famous rapper Lil Wayne, and where Minaj achieved international success.

In 2010, Nicki Minaj released her first studio album “Pink Friday”, produced by Sean Combs, Swizz Beatz and Will.i.am, Featuring guest appearances from Drake, Kanye West and Rihanna it did exceptionally well in the market, making #1 on the Billboard charts and selling 375,000 copies during its first week, and remaining in the charts for 73 weeks, being certified platinum by the RIAA and producing eight singles. Her net worth was rising considerably.

In addition to music, Nicki Minaj has successfully ventured into business, and opened a clothing line  -“The Nicki Minaj Collection”, as well as her own fragrance “Pink Friday”, and made several appearances on television screens in “America’s Next Top Model”, “Fashion Police” and “American Idol”.

In her personal life, Nicki was in a long-term relationship with rapper Safaree Samuels, and then dated rapper Meek Mill, but they split in 2017. Nicki is still based in New York City.
