Miranda Rae Mayo was born in Fresno, California USA, on 14 August 1990 – her zodiac sign is Leo, and she holds American nationality. Early life, parents and education
Miranda was raised in Fresno by her parents, about whom nothing’s known as she respects their privacy; it’s said that her father’s a gardener, and that her mother’s working as a cashier at a local supermarket. Because Miranda hasn’t spoken of having any siblings, most people believe her to be an only child.
She became interested in acting while attending Roosevelt High School, where she was a member of its drama club, and starred in many plays performed at the school, and at a local theatre. Miranda was also into various sports during her four years there, as she wanted to shape her figure to look good when she finally launched her acting career.
Upon matriculating in 2008, she moved to Los Angeles, California, and worked as a model for three years, prior to launching her acting career.
Roles in TV series
Miranda made her debut TV series appearance in the 2011 episode “El Sereno” of the mystery crime drama “Law & Order: LA”, and the same year saw her appear in an episode of both the thriller “Inside” and the action adventure comedy “Supah Ninjas”.
In 2012, she was cast to play the supporting character Patreece Sheibani in the romantic comedy drama “The Game”, created by Mara Brock Akil, and which starred Hosea Chanchez, Wendy Raquel Robison and Coby Bell.
The series follows several women, all of whom are in a relationship with Football Players; the series aired from 2006 to 2015, and won five of the 30 awards for which it was nominated.
The following years saw Miranda play supporting characters in a couple of critically acclaimed series, such as the romantic mystery drama “Pretty Little Liars”, the comedy “Stuck!” and the romantic drama “Days of Our Lives”. In 2015, she was cast to star as Lacey Briggs in the romantic crime drama “Blood & Oil”, created by Josh Pate and Rodes Fishburne, and which also starred Don Johnson and Chace Crawford. It follows a newlywed couple who are hoping to start working with oil in North Dakota, while the oil baron Hap Briggs isn’t happy with this.
Miranda’s two most recent roles in TV series, besides “Chicago Fire”, have been in the 2018 episode “When to Let Go” of the drama “Chicago Med”, and the 2019 episode “Infection, Part III” of the action crime drama “Chicago P. D.”
Roles in movies
Miranda made her debut film appearance in the 2012 short comedy “How Your P*ssy Works”, and in 2014, she starred in the short comedy “The Black Bachelor”.
The year 2015 saw her play Courtney in the popular romantic musical drama “We Are Your Friends”, written and directed by Max Joseph, and which starred Zac Efron, Wes Bentley and Emily Ratajkowski. It follows DJ Cole who’s trying to become popular, as he wants to live up to his friends’ expectations, but is in a ‘forbidden’ relationship.
Miranda has appeared in only one other movie, playing Rose in the 2015 romantic crime horror “The Girl in the Photographs”, written and directed by Nick Simon, and which starred Kal Penn, Claudia Lee and Kenny Wormald. It follows a young woman who has started receiving pictures of women who have been murdered; the movie was nominated for a single award.
Miranda is currently shooting for the upcoming crime drama “Going Places”.

She has made a guest appearance in a couple of talk-shows, including “Drinking with the Stars”, “Entertainment Tonight Canada” and “Celebrity Page”.
Love life and husband
Miranda prefers to keep the details of her love life to herself, but it’s still widely known that she was once in a relationship with Luke Baines, a famous British actor, film writer and producer, whom Miranda met in 2015 while they were shooting together for the movie “The Girl in the Photographs”; Luke has appeared in close to 30 movies and TV series, and is perhaps known best for his portrayal of Jonathan Morgenstern, in the popular action fantasy series “Shadowhunters”.
Luke and Miranda were apparently together for just over a year, and were spotted spending time together on multiple occasions in 2015 and 2016.
Miranda hasn’t mentioned any other men whom she has perhaps been with, so as of November 2021, it appears that she’s single, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.
