Although born in Italy, Michelle spent her early childhood in Roanoke and Boerne in Texas She matriculated from Boerne High School, and enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin to study political science as a pre-law student. She joined a law group and worked at the capitol in Austin, which discouraged her from pursuing a legal career, so she took three years off and then attended the University of Texas at San Antonio, where she later graduated from with a degree in journalism. With her father’s help she was given a chance to be an intern reporter for the San Antonio Spurs basketball team, and then started working at Fox Sports Net, where she hosted “Big Game Hunters”. In 2002 she decided to move to TNN to be a sideline reporter for the coverage of the Professional Bull Riders’ Bud Light Cup tour.
