Sugg is the daughter of Graham, a property developer, and Tracey, a beautician, and the sister of Joe, who is also an internet personality. She went to The Corsham Secondary School and Arts College, and after graduating, became an apprentice at an interior design company in 2009. It was that same year that she started a fashion, beauty, and lifestyle blog she named “Zoella”. She soon gained a thousand followers, and with the blog’s success, Sugg created a YouTube channel. Her blog has now reached over 540 million visits as of September 2015. While working on her blog, she became a part of clothing retailer New Look.

Sugg first named her YouTube channel “zoella280390”, which mostly consisted of fashion, beauty tips, as well as her recommended beauty products. It has now over 10 million subscribers and over 663 million views, as well as being the 50th most subscribed channel. She created a second channel, this one named “MoreZoella”, which chronicles her day-to-day activities and also invites other YouTube personalities to appear alongside her. Her second channel has over 3.4 million subscribers and over 290 million views. Zoella was considered one of the “Britain’s most influential Tweeters” by The Telegraph newspaper in 2013. Her net worth is still growing.

Aside from her online work, Zoe has released two books under Penguin Books. Her first book, “Girl Online” was published in 2014, which broke the record for the highest sales for a debut writer in its first week that was recorded since 1998, and which eventually became the highest selling book of the year. A sequel, entitled “Girl Online: On Tour” was distributed a year later. Obviouslt these books contributed significantly to her net worth.

Sugg then established her own beauty line, Zoella Beauty, in 2014. She also became a contestant in BBC’s “Comic Relief Bake”, and had an uncredited role in “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”. In 2015, she was rewarded with “Choice Web Star Award” at the Teen Choice Awards in 2015.

In her personal life, the twenty-five-year-old is dating fellow YouTube star and author, Alfie Deyes – they are currently living in a £1 million five-bedroom mansion in Brighton, which they have named the “Zalfie Pad”. Her hobbies include traveling and watching movies. Despite her successful ventures, she still does philanthropic work, being named as one of the National Citizen Service’s ambassadors and also became the first Digital Ambassador for the mental health charity Mind.
